West Gave Chemical Weapons to Saddam

  • PressTV Published on Sep 26, 2018
Iran’s leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei accuses the West of hypocrisy regarding the use of chemical weapons. Ayatollah Khamenei said today, western governments make a furor about the employment of chemical arms while during Iraq’s imposed war on Iran they gave the former Iraqi regime such banned weapons. Iran’s leader added that ex-Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein used the same arms not only against Iranian troops but against cities and civilians. Ayatollah Khamenei singled out France and Germany as the suppliers of chemical weapons for Saddam. He said the German and French people should know what their governments did to Iran. Ayatollah Khamenei was speaking during a meeting with a group of commanders of Iranian armed forces.

Donald Rumsfeld -Reagan’s Envoy- provided Iraq with chemical & biological weapons in the 1980s. Seen here shaking hands with Saddam Hussein.

US History Of Chemical Weapons Use & Complicity In War Crimes

  • US History Of Chemical Weapons Use & Complicity In War Crimes
    by Brian Kalman, https://southfront.org/
Before pointing the finger at Russia and Syria, the U.S. should answer for its own record

The world is once again witnessing the height of U.S. hypocrisy as members of the U.S. State Department ratchet up anti-Russian and anti-Syrian rhetoric surrounding the use of chemical weapons in Syria and the UK. Ambassador Nikki Haley has warned Syria, Iran and Russia that they will be held accountable for their pre-determined use of chemical weapons in Idlib on innocent civilians. No evidence was provided to support her threats. The United States carried out cruise missile strikes on two previous occasions, and each time provided no evidence to prove their assertion that the Syrian government used chemical weapons in attacking civilians, nor was any rational reason given for such an obviously irrational decision on the part of the Syrian state. No evidence has ever been provided to justify the clear international crime of aggression committed by the United States on these two earlier occasions. Now, the UK and the U.S. are both attempting to accuse the Russian government of using chemical weapons in an alleged attempted assassination of a Russian national on UK soil. Once again, no real evidence has been presented, only assertions and hearsay.

    ….
It is important to note that nowhere in this law is there a legal commitment made by the United States itself, to eliminate its own chemical and biological weapons capabilities. This is not an oversight, yet speaks to the imperial hypocrisy of the United States and an acknowledgement that it alone has been the largest perpetrator of chemical weapons use and proliferation for more than 50 years. It currently maintains the largest stockpile of both chemical and biological warfare agents of any nation on the planet, and continues to expand its biological weapons research and development on a scale far larger than any other country.

Not only did the United States, and France for that matter, provide chemical weapons to the Saddam regime, but the U.S. intelligence agencies provided the Iraqi military with vital battlefield intelligence, including satellite imagery in aiding them in the war. The U.S. was well aware that the Saddam regime had used chemical weapons in at least four offensives during the war. Of course they knew, they had facilitated the transfer of these weapons to help the Iraqis prosecute a war of aggression against Iran. Declassified CIA documents clearly show that the United States was well aware that the Iraqis had used chemical weapons at least four times between 1983 and 1988. Iran had accused Iraq of using chemical weapons, and tried to build a case to bring before the United Nations. The United States withheld its knowledge of course, and continued to aid its ally in perpetrating these crimes against humanity.

U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley has lied through her teeth repeatedly in her statements before the U.N. Security Council and the General Assembly. She has stated repeatedly that Assad has used chemical weapons against his own people in Ghouta in 2013, Khan Shaykhun in 2017 and Douma in 2018, yet has not supplied one shred of evidence beyond dubious social media posts of unknown provenance. She has also stated that the United States is certain that it could only be the Syrian government, as no other party in the conflict zone could possibly possess chemical weapons. Here’s the problem with her statement. Firstly, the United States and the OPCW verified that Syria destroyed or surrendered all of its chemical weapons agents. On its official website, the OPCW states:

Iraq to Stop Trading With Iran in US Dollars Due to Sanctions – Gov’t Spokesman

  • Iraq to Stop Trading With Iran in US Dollars Due to Sanctions – Gov’t Spokesman
    by https://sputniknews.com/
CAIRO (Sputnik) – Iraq will have to stop using the US dollar in its financial transactions with Iran over Washington’s sanctions against Tehran, Iraqi government spokesman Saad al-Hadithi told Sputnik on Thursday.

“The sanctions will influence, first of all, money transfers and banking operations in the US dollar. The sides will not use the US dollar,” al-Hadithi said, adding that the move would result in a decline in trade between the two countries and thus affect the consumers.

He stressed that the Iraqi government would try to find ” a new mechanism” in order to support trade relations with Iran.

“In any case, the government will seek to solve all the problems related to this issue, it will look for corresponding mechanisms to neutralize the [sanctions’] influence on the Iraqi market and also prevent the damage caused to the Iraqi citizens’ interests,” al-Hadithi said,

The statement was made in wake of the first package of US sanctions against Iran, reintroduced on Tuesday, which were previously lifted under the Iran nuclear deal, was reinstated following the United States’ withdrawal from the agreement. The sanctions target Iran’s acquisition of dollar bank notes, trade in gold and other metals, transactions related to the Iranian rial, as well as the other countries’ transactions and trade activities with Iran.

‘If Iran Can’t Export Oil No-One in Middle East Will,’ Tehran Warns

  • ‘If Iran Can’t Export Oil No-One in Middle East Will,’ Tehran Warns
    by https://www.rt.com/
Iran has threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz, a vital artery for oil shipments from the Middle East. The warning comes in response to the US, which is trying to cut off Iranian crude exports.

After pulling out of a landmark international deal curtailing Tehran’s nuclear program, Washington has ordered countries to cease buying oil from Iran by November 4 or face secondary US sanctions. Major European energy corporations like France’s Total have already pulled out of Iran.

Iran’s supreme leader’s senior adviser for international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati said his country will retaliate.

“The most transparent, complete and prompt response was given by Mr [Hassan] Rouhani, the Iranian president, in his last trip to Europe. The response was clear: if Iran cannot export oil through the Persian Gulf, no-one will do this,”
Velayati said, speaking at the Valdai discussion club in Russia. “Either everyone will export, or no-one,” he added.

Most of the crude exported from Saudi Arabia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Iraq passes through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow passageway between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

It’s also the route for nearly all the liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments from the world’s largest exporter, Qatar. The UAE and Saudi Arabia have sought to find ways to bypass the strait, but there is no real alternative for it.

Passing through the strait has been dangerous from time to time in the past. The US Fifth Fleet, based in Bahrain, is dedicated to protecting commercial ships in the area, but there have been tensions between Tehran and Washington in the strait. In early 2008 the US said Iranian boats had threatened its warships.

Iran Drops the Dollar. Others Tried and Were Bombed. ‘It’s All about the Banking,’ Says Lee Camp

  • Iran Drops the Dollar. Others Tried and Were Bombed. ‘It’s All about the Banking,’ Says Lee Camp
    by https://www.rt.com/
Iran recently announced it is dropping the US dollar in foreign trade. Just as Iraq did shortly before it was invaded by the US, or Libya planned to before it was bombed by NATO-led allies. Lee Camp is starting to see a pattern.

The US is gearing up to abandon the Iran nuclear deal, which has all but killed Tehran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief, because it’s not restrictive enough. With Iran already saying it won’t accept more demands or more sanctions, it’s anyone’s guess what kind of chain reaction might ensue.

Comedian Lee Camp’s guess is pretty grim. He notices how Iran recently ditched the dollar in favor of the euro – something Iraq also did 18 years ago, a couple years before the US invaded it under the phony pretext of weapons of mass destruction. Libya wanted to do the same, although its leader Muammar Gaddafi wanted to establish its own currency, the gold dinar – but in 2011, NATO warplanes bombed his country to support an uprising against him. Almost immediately, the rebels formed their own central bank and were given leave by the US and the UN to legally sell oil from the land they controlled.

On his show Redacted Tonight, Lee deconstructs these parallels and more, because “It’s all about the banking!”

Who owns the world reserve currency, the dollar, the global monetary hegemony? Look at the Satanic capstone on your dollar bill. The Luciferian New World Order will be complete with the arrival of the Satanic capstone: the Anti-Christ, fake messiah, bringer of false peace, the white horseman of Revelation 6!

Merkel Says Iran Deal Not Sufficient to Curb Nuclear Program

  • Look like the pressure is on to break the deal on 12 May 2018. It is the path to the Greater Middle East War. Considering the fact that USA is not keeping their side of the bargain, does the nuclear deal even have any meaning for Iran? Merkel, the Illuminist puppet is spewing western propaganda against Iran.
  • PressTV Published on Apr 27, 2018
The German chancellor says the 2015 Iran nuclear deal is not sufficient to curb the country’s nuclear program. Angela Merkel who is on an official visit to the White House was speaking at a joint press conference alongside US President Donald Trump. The German chancellor also accused Iran of seeking to extend its influence in the Middle East including in Iraq and Syria. Meanwhile Trump leveled a barrage of allegations against Iran, accusing Tehran of pursuing destabilizing activities in the region. Merkel’s US visit comes as Trump must decide by May twelve whether to keep waiving anti-Iran sanctions lifted under the multilateral agreement. Failure to do so would be a violation of the deal. European signatories of the accord have stepped up efforts to persuade Trump not to withdraw from it.

US Scholar: Bolton a ‘Terrorist-Minded’ Person Trying ‘to Get US Into Wars’

  • US Scholar: Bolton a ‘Terrorist-Minded’ Person Trying ‘to Get US Into Wars’
    by https://sputniknews.com/
Radio Sputnik discussed the current situation in Syria and US military operations abroad with Wayne Madsen, a US journalist specializing in international affairs, following reports that two F-15 jets belonging to Israeli Air Force carried out a strike on Syria’s T-4 air base.

Sputnik: What can you say about what has happened in Syria now?
    Wayne Madsen:
Well, I would point to the fact that John Bolton, the only unconfirmed US ambassador to the UN who ever served at the United Nations, is now moving into the national security advisor’s office in the White House, and I think we can see more of this. We know that Bolton works very closely, as he did when he was at the UN, with the Israelis. Certainly, it seems like Israel may have been responsible for the attack on the airbase. We also know that Bolton specializes in putting out disinformation. He was one of the people who said that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Even faced with facts today that Saddam didn’t, he still maintains that he did. Against, you know, all other facts, Bolton, who is now going to be the national security advisor, believes in this nonsense of Saddam Hussein having WMDs.

So, we are going to see him do the same thing to the Assad government in Syria, it’s already begun. We are going to see the same footage and over again of these children, who were supposedly gassed with chlorine barrel bombs, get ready for the barrel bombs thing again, the kids. This is Bolton’s modus operandi, he wants to get the US into wars in many places, and, unfortunately, Donald Trump is using this war maniac, Bolton is now his top advisor on national security policy.

‘I Give You 24 Hours to Resign’: 1st OPCW Chief on How John Bolton Bullied Him Before Iraq War

  • ‘I Give You 24 Hours to Resign’: 1st OPCW Chief on How John Bolton Bullied Him Before Iraq War
    by https://www.rt.com/
The first OPCW chief, who tried to bring Iraq and Libya into the organization, told RT how US foreign policy hawk John Bolton threatened him over his refusal to resign prior to the 2003 Iraq War.

Jose Bustani, the first director-general of the global chemical weapons watchdog Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), sat down with RT and revealed how John Bolton, a Bush-era official and now Donald Trump’s pick for National Security Adviser, bulldozed the way for the 2003 Iraq invasion.

Bustani, a Brazilian diplomat, led the organization from 1997 until 2002, when he was ousted after falling out of favor with the US. At the time, he was trying to convince Iraq and Libya to join the organization, meaning that the two countries would have been obliged to dispose of all chemical weapons if they had any.

He said that according to reliable intelligence he had as director-general, “it was obvious that during the first Iraq War everything had been destroyed [by Iraq],” and there was “nothing left for Iraq to be accused of possessing chemical weapons.”

In 2001, OPCW inspectors examined Iraqi facilities, and it was “a successful operation,” after which Bustani’s informal dialogue with the Iraqis and Libyans about joining the organization made a breakthrough, he recalled.

But diplomatic efforts and peacemaking did not sit well with Washington, because “they had plans already to take some action – military action – against Iraq,” Bustani claims. Shortly afterwards, the Bush administration began to aggressively lobby for his removal, and it became “a tragic story” for him, he said.

“I got a phone call from John Bolton – it was first time I had contact with him – and he said he had instructions to tell me that I have to resign from the organization, and I asked him why,”
Bustani told RT. “He said that [my] management style was not agreeable to Washington.”

He resolutely refused to resign, only to see Bolton again at OPCW headquarters in The Hague several weeks after the phone conversation. “He came to my office and said: ‘You have to resign and I give you 24 hours, this is what we want. You have to leave, you have to resign from your organization, director-general.'”

Bustani said he “owed nothing” to the US, pointing out that he was appointed by all OPCW member states. Striking a more sinister tone, Bolton said: “OK, so there will be retaliation. Prepare to accept the consequences. We know where your kids are.”

According to Bustani, two of his children were in New York at the time, and his daughter was in London. He told Bolton: “My family is aware of what’s going on, so [they’re] prepared to face consequences.” The reply shocked Bolton, who then left the office.

Remember When Trump Was Anti-Iraq War? Bolton Hire Just Tip of Iceberg in Policy U-Turn

Despite being elected on an anti-interventionist program, Donald Trump has now surrounded himself with foreign policy hawks and Iraq war apologists. The new National Security Adviser, John Bolton, is just one of the wild bunch.

Back in his pre-election days Trump was a vocal critic of American military adventurism. Notably in 2013, he outright said on Twitter “All former Bush administration officials should have zero standing on Syria. Iraq was a waste of blood & treasure.”

Fast forward to 2018, and Trump is picking the likes of John Bolton – an Iraq war apologist and an advocate for starting more wars of the kind – to his team of advisers. While Bolton is known as extremely hawkish even by neocon standards, he is not the sole example in the cabinet. Both Trump’s security and foreign policy teams are now full of people who backed the Iraq disaster and are now in favor of military action against Iran and North Korea.
