Tehran: Israel’s Nuclear Arsenal Biggest Threat to Peace in the Middle East
Published on Feb 16, 2017
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman dismisses U.S. and Israeli allegations against the country’s nuclear program as baseless. Bahram Qassemi says the Israeli regime’s nuclear weapons arsenal is the biggest threat to the peace and security of the region and the world. The comments come after the U-S president and the Israeli prime minister renewed their criticism of Iran nuclear program and the nuclear deal at a joint presser in Washington. Qassemi noted that the International Atomic Energy Agency has repeatedly confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program. He said that Israel accuses Iran while it does not abide by international law and regulations as it keeps hundreds of nuclear warheads in its arsenals.
