US Drone Strikes Not Compliant with International Law – Professor

    Are US airstrikes in countries like Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen and Libya actually illegal under international law? Majorie Cohn, an international law professor at Thomas Jerfferson School of Law joins RT America’s Anya Parampil and says the US is not complying with United Nation (UN) rules which only allow a country to use military force in self-defense or when the UN security council gives approval. Professor Cohn also says, “it appears that political considerations are more significant than legal requirements for Obama administration” when it comes to airstrikes.
