  The Western press was mute on the Syrian war on June 12^th  as reports came of another massacre  carried out by the so called ‘rebels’, who are in fact members of al-Qaeda and al-Qaeda affiliated groups.  Among those massacred in the village of Hatlah in the region of Deir e Zohr were dozens of women and children. Reports of the massacre vary from 30 to 100.

  The French press did seem too interested in dwelling on the massacre, which is surprising given their deep concern for the ‘protection of the civilian population’ and indefatigable advocacy of ‘humanitarian intervention’ in the Syrian conflict.

  Le Monde, who published two sensational reports recently which purported to ‘prove’ that the Syrian ‘regime’ had used chemical weapons ‘on its own people’-without presenting a shred of credible evidence to back up their claims-  attempted to play down the crime against humanity committed by the ‘rebels’ they support.

  The French daily reported that 60 shiite residents of the village of Hatlah were killed on Tuesday. There was no mention of the word ‘massacre’, no mention of the word ‘crime’, no condemnation of the barbaric acts. Instead, the report spoke of government ‘militias’ controlling local areas.

  There was no condemnation of the massacre of Hatlah from the Quai D’Orsay either.  Thousands of massacres have been committed by the western-backed terrorists since the outbreak of the conflict in Syria in 2011, most of not all have been ignored by the French government.[1]

  The mainstream press agencies usually use massacres committed by terrorists in Syria as war propaganda by blaming the crimes on the Syrian army. But the coordination between the terrorists and Nato’s media agencies would appear to have been lacking in Tuesdays’ Syrian war theatre.

  The killers posted a video on the internet where they boasted about their slaughter of civilians in the village, chanting ‘Allah akbar’ as they showed the remains of their ‘raafidis’(derogatory term for Shiite) victims. They should have filmed their slaughtered victims and posted the video online with the caption ‘innocent civilians slaughtered by Assad’s forces, international community must intervene’ It seems these terrorists were badly trained.

  Syrian and Kuwaiti killers entered the village of Hatlah on Tuesday, June 11^th, marked out Shiite houses for destruction and proceeded to burn them down. Ibrahim Said, a local cleric, his wife and two girls of 4 and 2 were taken out and butchered to death.  The leader of the gang also called on Sunnis in Kuwait to kill their Shiite neighbours. The video, visible on June 12^th, has been censored by U Tube but can be viewed on Liveleak.[2]

  Several commentators have pointed to the similarities between the pre-World War I era and our own. While every historical analogy is, by definition, inexact, they are right to raise the alarm.

  In 1914, Europe was divided into two camps: the Entente, consisting of Britain, France, and Russia, and the Central Powers, predominantly Germany and the Austro-Hungarian Empire (Italy was formally a member, but went neutral when the war started, eventually joining the Entente). While this division had its roots in the long history of inter-imperialist rivalry over the acquisition of colonies in Africa and the Far East – with the “haves” being Britain and France, and the “have nots” being Germany and Austria – by the turn of the century the conflict began to re-focus on the European theater, where the breakup of the Ottoman Empire in Southeastern Europe – the Balkans – put the rival camps on a collision course.

  Intent on penetrating the region and promoting its pan-Slavic agenda, Russia was fanning the flames of Serbian nationalism in the region, and the Kingdom of Serbia was the logical launching pad for this campaign. Serbia was a cauldron of ultra-nationalist sentiment, where – at the instigation of Russian agents – secret societies sprang up militantly agitating for a “Greater Serbia.” A pseudo-mystical ultra-nationalist narrative was elaborated for popular consumption, based on the idea of restoring the old “Greater Serbia” of the pre-Ottoman era, a supposedly glorious chapter in the history of the race that ended with the defeat of Prince Lazar on the famous Field of Blackbirds: Lazar died heroically, fighting off Turkish Janissaries. The great problem of the Serbian nationalists, however, was – and is – their expansive concept of what “Greater Serbia” consists of: every spot on which a Serbian Orthodox church or monastery ever existed is, today, considered Serbian territory by these radicals, and back in 1914 they were far more numerous – and powerful – than they are at the present moment. Indeed, as Ralph Raico points out:

  “The immediate origins of the 1914 war lie in the twisted politics of the Kingdom of Serbia.[1] In June, 1903, Serbian army officers murdered their king and queen in the palace and threw their bodies out a window, at the same time massacring various royal relations, cabinet ministers, and members of the palace guards. It was an act that horrified and disgusted many in the civilized world. The military clique replaced the pro-Austrian Obrenovic dynasty with the anti-Austrian Karageorgevics. The new government pursued a pro-Russian, Pan-Slavist policy, and a network of secret societies sprang up, closely linked to the government, whose goal was the ‘liberation’ of the Serb subjects of Austria (and Turkey), and perhaps the other South Slavs as well.”

  The foreign policy of the Serbian government, with ultra-nationalist Prime Minister Nicolas Pasic at its head, “aimed at the creation of a Greater Serbia,” writes Raico, “necessarily at the expense of Austria-Hungary.” The Russians, the British, and the French all backed the Serbs’ expansionist claims, and, with Russian help, a series of Balkan wars saw the doubling in size of the Serbian kingdom as the decibel level of Serbian revanchist agitation picked up. It was in this volatile context that a Bosnian Serb fanatic, one Gavrilo Princip, shot and killed Archduke Francis Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, in Sarajevo. Princip and his collaborators were members of the “Black Hand,” an extreme nationalist group headed up by the chief of Serbian intelligence.

  The Austrian annexation of Bosnia had added fuel to the fire, and set off a series of assassination attempts on Austrian officials by the “Black Hand.” When the Archduke visited Sarajevo, Austrian troops were massing on the Bosnian-Serbian border, backing up an Austrian demand that the Serbs renounce all claims to the territory. The Serbs complied, but the actions of Princip and his co-conspirators set off an explosion that ended with the destruction of European civilization.

  What turned a regional conflict over narrowly defined issues of chiefly local interest into a global conflagration was the system of alliances and resulting intrigues that plagued world politics. I won’t go into the longstanding controversy over who bears the chief burden of “war guilt”: suffice to say here that the structural logic of the two rival alliances had an escalating effect, one that dragged the rest of Europe – and us – into the vortex of destruction. From the trenches of the Great War sprang the worst monsters of the twentieth century: fascism, national socialism, and Bolshevism. The death toll was in the millions.

  In its broad outlines, we face a similar situation today. The Balkans of the new millennium is undoubtedly the Middle East, and here it is that, once again, a country imbued with a religiously-inspired vision of a “Greater” version of itself is pushing an expansionist policy, having roughly doubled its size since its inception as an independent nation. Inspired by an ideological vision that seeks to recreate a glorious past kingdom, and driven by the religious fanaticism of a militant ultra-nationalist movement, the state of Israel is the Serbia of our time – the epicenter and catalyst of the coming conflict.

  Of course, the specifics are quite different: yet the broad outlines of the Balkan scenario fit the Middle East to a tee. We have the modern day Entente – the “haves,” i.e. the Western powers of the US, Britain, and France, versus the “have nots,” those being Russia, Iran, and Syria. Standing warily on the sidelines is China, a formerly “have not” nation on its way to becoming a superpower, which is increasingly tilting toward the latter. And of course the Western allies have their Middle Eastern protectorates, or what’s left of them, in Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf states.

  The Middle East is inching towards war.  In Syria, the Assad regime wants high-tech Russian missiles to thwart new efforts for a no-fly zone that the Obama Administration may be calling for.  Israel says if the Russians deliver them, they will attack and knock them out.  The missiles would make a no-fly zone very difficult.  Assad says he has the S-300 missiles, but the U.S. says not yet.  More than 70,000 Syrians have been killed in more than two years of civil war.  Syria has said it will attack Israel if Israel attacks again.

  Senator John McCain met with Syrian rebels to discuss arming them.  A large part of the rebel effort is al-Qaeda, a known terrorist group.  Lawmakers say they want to vet the rebels, but how are you going to stop al-Qaeda from getting weapons?

  In news on the other side of the Middle East, there is a new State Department report that claims Iran is increasing sponsorship of terrorism.  A big benefactor is Hezbollah.  That’s who is helping Assad in Syria stay in power.  Will this turn into an excuse to attack Iran?

  Embattled Attorney General Eric Holder has invited many mainstream media (MSM) organizations for an “off-the-record” conversation, and most outlets have declined to allow the White House to engage in spin and pressure to get the media back in line.  FOX, CBS and the New York Times are just a few that have said no to “off-the-record” conversations.  Wow, the MSM acting like journalists again.  How refreshing.

  Speaking of AG Holder, some House Republicans allege Holder may have committed perjury when he told the House that he was “not involved” with the potential prosecution of the press.

  Two more countries are planning to trade with China and not use the U.S. dollar.  France and New Zealand will be trading with China using the Yuan sometime in the future.  This is another step in the U.S. dollar losing its reserve currency status.  It could be an inflationary disaster for the U.S., and some say it’s closer than some would admit.  The only question is when.

  The stock market is in record territory.  The MSM says the Bull Run is on “solid footing.”  The MSM always fails to mention all the QE, or money printing, by the Fed in the last few years.  The latest “open-ended” QE is $85 billion a month, or a little more than $1 trillion a year.  The data this week would throw cold water on a vibrant economy.  Unemployment came in higher than expected.  Home sales lower than expected.  GDP was just revised lower, mortgage rates are up and interest rates are rising.  Analyst and trader Gregory Mannarino predicts, “The Fed’s go-go juice is going to turn into poison.”  I couldn’t agree more.

  “Although there is little sign of the UN investigations team declaring chemical weapons have been used, western governments say that reporting of such incidents keeps up pressure on the Assad government and could deter it from large-scale use of chemical weapons,” The Guardian reported on Wednesday.

  “There is increasingly strong evidence of localized use of chemical weapons,” French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius claimed on Monday. “We are consulting with our partners to see what concrete consequences that we are going to draw from this.”

  According to Turkish officials, however, there is concrete evidence that CIA’s mercenaries operating in Syria under the leadership of the al-Nusra Front, a terrorist group aligned with al-Qaeda in Syria, are in possession of deadly sarin gas and planned to use it against the Syrian Army.

  On Wednesday, Turkish officials found the gas in the homes of al-Nusra terrorists in the southern provinces of Adana and Mersia following a search by Turkish police. The terrorists planned to use the gas in an attack in the southern Turkish city of Adana, RT reports today.

  The U.S., Britain and France are struggling to present evidence compelling enough to get the United States involved in the conflict. Earlier this week, The Atlantic Wire reported that Senator John McCain met with the CIA’s Islamic mercenaries who made the case that the Syrian regime has used chemical weapons.   Two well-placed Washington intelligence sources both expressed alarm about recent developments in the Middle East, and the danger of a world war arising from Israeli provocations over the planned Russian provision of S300 surface-to-air missiles to the Syrian government.

  A retired military intelligence officer said that the danger of an Israeli strike against the Russian S-300 deliveries to Syria could itself trigger global war. This source is not at all alarmist, so this warning from him should be taken very seriously.

  A second Washington intelligence contact had had the same response.  He said that, so far, the Russians have indicated to the U.S. that they will hold back on the S-300 deliveries until after the Geneva II conference, which is good. But Israel has clearly threatened to destroy the S-300s before they are installed.  This would likely mean attacks on the sites where they are stored in Syria, prior to installation. Russian “technicians” will be accompanying those systems. The range of the S-300s means that they could intercept Israeli fighter jets still inside Israeli air space, which is why this is such a “red line” for Israel and such a hair-trigger for a larger war potential. Obviously, we are again seeing a combined British, French, Israeli provocation to sabotage Geneva II.

  The UK’s intransigence in the EU show’s the West’s true intentions in Syria 
  The UK Foreign secretary William Hague, and his French counterpart Lauren Fabius, are leading an isolated charge within the EU to lift a supposed arms embargo to self-described ‘rebels’, hitherto destroying Syria for over two years. Several underlying factors need to be addressed before these diplomatic (some would say military) manoeuvres are put into context.

  Firstly, the most obvious issue with allowing the UK and France to freely arm ‘rebels’ of their choosing inside Syria is that this policy is against all international law, and will, as proven already to be the case, continue to vastly exacerbate the growing death toll and displacement in Syria. As the head of arms control at Oxfam noted:

  “Transferring more weapons to Syria can only exacerbate a hellish scenario for civilians. If the UK and France are to live up to their own commitments – including those set out in the new arms trade treaty – they simply must not send weapons to Syria.”
  -
  Acting under the auspices, or “consultation” of Western intelligence services, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and non-state actors sending thousands of tonnes of arms and funds to extremist militants in Syria; is directly synonymous with both a huge increase in casualty numbers and civilian displacement; and the huge rise and proliferation of extremist militants operating in Syria. This highlights, as previous conflicts in the region have shown; that further Western military intervention is not about to bring peace and harmony to a nation already engulfed in the throes of war (much of which western powers promoted and enabled).

  But peace and harmony are not on either France, nor the UK’s list of priorities in the region; removing President Assad and weakening the state of Syria, Iran’s staunch ally, most certainly are. It seems the less Imperial-minded states of the EU, and indeed, those less attached to US militarism and designs for the Middle East, were incensed by Hague and Fabius’ stubborn attempts to stifle the popular opinion within the EU that sending yet more military equipment to a disparate melee of extremist rebels may be of dire consequence. Hague, with his vast intellect, failed to acknowledge this most obvious of pitfalls, and seems more eager than war-mongerer/profiteer US Senator John McCain is to feed into the western public the idea that ‘moderate’, or ‘secular’ minded ‘rebels’ in Syria actually exist.

  To quote an equally moral and intelligent Western statesman, the UK is acting on the policy of “unknown unknowns”. Hague et al claim to know of ‘moderate’ and ‘secular’ fighting forces wishing to take up arms against the Syrian Government; yet literally no one in Syria or analysing the conflict from afar is able to find them. As the weapons flow increased and the funds from Gulf donors magnified, it has been the most extreme sectarian elements of militia that have been bolstered by such support, and indeed, further encouraged by Western diplomatic cover and the dutiful Western mainstream media’s glowing appraisals of freedom fighters and ‘rebel’ propaganda.

  This has only enabled the Jihaddi/Salafist elements hell-bent on sectarian violence and destruction to gain in recruits and popularity. As in Central America, Afghanistan, Libya, Serbia, Kosovo, etc: these extremist elements form the ‘Shock Troops’ of a Western designed subversion model; used to great effect by Western powers to enable the social and structural destruction of a nation “outside the West’s sphere of influence”, in order to bring about regime change.

  The Austrian government has issued an official position paper, now circulating among EU member states, in opposition to the British-French proposal for lifting the arms embargo in Syria. Dated May 13, the document is a cogent summation of the reasons why the lifting of the EU embargo would be politically and legally unacceptable.

  First, the political reasons:

  1. Lifting the embargo would undermine the U.S.-Russia move for a political settlement
  2. The Syrian National Coalition doesn’t control the fighters within Syria.
  3. There are more than enough weapons in Syria already.
  4. Supplying more weapons would endanger UNDOF peacekeepers (noting the recent kidnappings of same).

  Then, the legal ones:

  1. Supplying arms would “amount to a breach of the customary principle of non-intervention and the principle of non-use of force under Art. 2 para. 4 of the UN Charter.”
  2. It  would  violate the EU position on arms export control.
  3. It would “amount to a violation of Security Council resolutions establishing an arms embargo against individuals and entities associated with Al-Qaeda.”

  Unprovoked, Israel has attacked Syria numerous times over the past 2 days, including attacks on the Syrian capital of Damascus, in what appears to be a series of intentional provocations designed to drag the region into a wider conflict its US sponsors can then enter militarily. Neither attacked directly by Syria, nor able to cite credible evidence in regards to perceived threats Israel claims to be reacting to, the assault on Syria represents a Chapter VII breach of the United Nations Charter.

  What’s more, is that while the US feigns disassociation with Israel’s breach of international peace, after jointly fueling a genocidal sectarian conflict within Syria’s borders for the past two years, it is documented fact that the US and Saudi Arabia planned to use Israel to conduct military attacks against Iran and Syria, they themselves could not justify politically, legally, or strategically.

  What is now hoped is that Syria and Iran retaliate militarily, allowing the “other shoe to drop,” and for the US, UK, France, and their regional axis to directly intervene in Syria, and with any luck, Iran.

  Insidious Ploy Engineered and Documented in 2007-2009
  As early as 2007, it was reported that a US-Saudi-Israeli conspiracy to overthrow the governments of Iran and Syria by arming sectarian terrorists, many linked directly to Al Qaeda, was already set in motion. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh in his 2007 New Yorker article, “The Redirection,” stated (emphasis added):

  “To undermine Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, the Bush Administration has decided, in effect, to reconfigure its priorities in the Middle East. In Lebanon, the Administration has coöperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda.”

  Of Israel and Saudi Arabia’s partnership it specifically stated:

  ”The policy shift has brought Saudi Arabia and Israel into a new strategic embrace, largely because both countries see Iran as an existential threat. They have been involved in direct talks, and the Saudis, who believe that greater stability in Israel and Palestine will give Iran less leverage in the region, have become more involved in Arab-Israeli negotiations.”

  Additionally, Saudi Arabian officials mentioned the careful balancing act their nation must play in order to conceal its role in supporting US-Israeli ambitions across the region. It was stated even then, that using Israel to publicly carry out attacks on Iran would be preferable to the US, which would ultimately implicate the Saudis. It was stated:

  “The Saudi said that, in his country’s view, it was taking a political risk by joining the U.S. in challenging Iran: Bandar is already seen in the Arab world as being too close to the Bush Administration. “We have two nightmares,” the former diplomat told me. “For Iran to acquire the bomb and for the United States to attack Iran. I’d rather the Israelis bomb the Iranians, so we can blame them. If America does it, we will be blamed.””

  In a report published on the 11^th of April French daily Le Monde admits that rebels fighting the government of the Syrian Arab Republic are dominated by Japhat Al Nosra, a terrorist group linked to Al Qaida. The admission comes after two years of non-stop disinformation trumpeted from all French mainstream media outlets from the official right to the official left, disinformation that has attempted to convince the French public that democratic revolutionaries are fighting a war for human rights and freedom against a brutal, tyrannical dictator, who is ‘’ killing his own people’’.

This announcement comes two days after the call of Ayman Al-Zawarhiri, the successor of Osama Bin Laden in the leadership of Al-Qaida ‘headquarters,’ for the establishment of an Islamic state after the fall of the regime of Bachar-Al-Assad, afflicted since two years by an insurrection by the Sunni majority.’[1]

According to an October 2010Fox News report, the above-mentioned Al Qaida leader Al-Zawarhiri dined at the Pentagon just months after 911. Fox News reporter Catherine Herridge claimed she had documents to prove this. Of course, Fox News being a corporate propaganda agency did not pursue this story any further, nor did any other international mainstream media outlets.
