A Chinese Air Force officer on Saturday accused the U.S. government of creating the new strain of bird flu now afflicting parts of China as a biological warfare attack.

People’s Liberation Army Sr. Col. Dai Xu said the United States released the H7N9 bird flu virus into China in an act of biological warfare, according to a posting on his blog on Saturday.

The charge was first reported in the state-run Guangzhou newspaper Southern Metropolis Daily and then picked up by several news outlets in Asia.

State Department spokesman Jason Rebholz dismissed the claim. “There is absolutely no truth to these allegations,” he told the Washington Free Beacon.

Seven deaths from the bird flu outbreak were reported as of Tuesday in state-run Chinese media. As many as 24 people reportedly were infected by the disease in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui. Chinese authorities are trying to calm public fears of a major epidemic, claiming there is no evidence the virus can be transmitted between humans.

The government also is claiming that the outbreak is not related to the recent discovery of thousands of dead pigs floating in a river in China.

The accusation of U.S. biological warfare against China comes as the Pentagon is seeking closer military relations with China. Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is set to travel to China for talks with Chinese military leaders later this month.

According to Dai’s posting, the new flu outbreak should not be a cause for concern. “The national leadership should not pay too much attention to it,” the PLA lecturer at the National Defense University wrote. “Or else, it’ll be like in 2003 with SARS!”

Dai in the past has called for China to punish the United States for U.S. arms sales to rival Taiwan, by selling arms to U.S. enemies. “China recognizes that a few perfunctory protests will not have any effect,” Dai said in 2010. “China can’t directly sanction American arms companies since they did not do business with China … but China can sanction companies that are doing business with China directly, like Boeing or General Electric.”

Dai also has said the United States has used crises with North Korea and offers of cooperation on the issue as a plot to drive a wedge between Beijing and its fraternal communist ally.

But when you introduce vaccines into the picture, that number only drops by 1.5 percent.

When you take into account possible margins of error and other discrepancies, the true effectiveness of the flu shot is negligible, based on all available data.

The World Health Organization has identified a new SARS-like virus that attacks people of Middle Eastern decent and appears to be race-specific; just as the original SARS that was released in Hong Kong and caused numerous deaths. SARS stands for severe acute respiratory syndrome.

The new SARS is 99.9% similar to the original SARS. WHO has officially stated: “Given that this is a novel coronavirus, WHO is currently in the process of obtaining further information to determine the public health implications of these two confirmed cases.”

Gregory Hartl, WHO spokesperson said: “At the moment we have two sporadic cases and there are still a lot of holes to be filled in.” Hartl admitted that it is unclear as to how the new SARS is spread and there is a lack of evidence of human-to-human transmission. “All possible avenues of infection are being explored right now.”

The first record occurrence of this new SARS was found in Qatar earlier this month. The victim of this bio-weapon was transferred to a hospital in the UK for controlled monitoring and samples were submitted to the Health Protection Agency (HPA) for further laboratory testing. HPA confirmed that this never-before-seen coronavirus was structurally similar to SARS.

The HPA asserts that there is no immediate “cause for concern” however they admit that “this new virus … is different from any that have previously been identified in humans.”

A Saudi-born woman also has died from the new SARS which has been overtaken and investigated by the UK health authorities. Peter Openshaw, professor and director of the Centre for Respiratory Infection at Imperial College London, stated that UK health officials must be aware of “any evidence of human to human transmission causing severe disease would be very worrying and would raise the specter of a new SARS-like outbreak. The hope for now is that these cases are just highly unusual presentations of a generally mild infection, and that viral surveillance and detection is now so good that we are picking up cases that would not have been found in previous times.”

Andrew Easton, a virologist at Britain’s University of Warwick, claims that two cases of this new SARS makes the investigation difficult and the identification of a global threat impossible.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a warning last month to parents to have their children vaccinated against H3N2 which is a new strain of flu that the US government is purveying against the public. County fairs and exposure to pigs is being touted as the cause of the contraction of H3N2.

Tom Skinner, CDC spokesperson said that cases reported involved pigs however, “we’re not seeing any sustained transmission human to human, but we’re keeping an eye out.”

Skinner added, without substantial evidence, that this new mysterious strain could mutate genes and cause it to be more contiguous. And because of this new strain, vaccinations must be administered to the general public “to keep them safe.”

Dr. Danuta Skowronski is an influenza expert at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control. She showed her findings at the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy in San Francisco. Curious thing is: this isn’t the first time that Skowronski observed this so-called “Canadian problem.”

During the 2009 flu pandemic, Skowronski noticed that individuals who received the 2008-2009 winter flu shot were more likely to become infected with the virus than were those who hadn’t been given the shot. Five studies were conducted in various provinces, but because research outside Canada failed to compare, the matter went ignored.

Vaccine Made Individuals More Sick, Worsened H1N1 Symptoms
Skowronski persisted and conducted a blind study with 32 ferrets. Researchers didn’t know which animals had been vaccinated and which had not when they exposed them to the H1N1 virus. While all the animals recovered, those that had been vaccinated showed worsened H1N1 symptoms than those that hadn’t.

A new review published in the journal Public Library of Science ONE confirms that Pandemrix, a swine flu vaccine produced by drug giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), is responsible for causing an up to 1700 percent increase in narcolepsy among children and teenagers under 17 years of age.

Based on their findings, a cohort of scientists has determined that narcolepsy rates increased significantly following mass vaccination campaigns with Pandemrix. Compiled data has revealed that between 2002 and 2009, the narcolepsy rate among children under age 17 was 0.31 per 100,000. But in 2010, that number jumped to 5.3 per 100,000, which represents a 17-fold increase.

Similarly, research compiled by Markku Partinen of the Helsinki Sleep Clinic and Hanna Nohynek of the National Institute for Health and Welfare in Finland, both of which were also involved in the new research, has determined a link between Pandemrix and narcolepsy. Children not vaccinated with Pandemrix were found to have a 1300 percent less risk of developing narcolepsy compared to children who were vaccinated with Pandemrix.

But because the subject of controversy is a vaccine, researchers were quick to inject several caveats to their findings that deflected some of the blame to other potential causes. In their soft-peddled, politically-correct conclusion, researchers said they “consider it likely that Pandemrix vaccination contributed, perhaps together with other environmental factors, to this increase in genetically susceptible children.”

But the findings are strong enough to have prompted officials in Great Britain to begin their own investigation into Pandemrix causing narcolepsy in children. The young scientist, normally calm and measured, seemed edgy when he stopped by his boss’s office. “You are not going to believe this one,” he told Ron Fouchier, a virologist at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam. “I think we have an airborne H5N1 virus.”

The news, delivered one afternoon last July, was chilling. It meant that Dr. Fouchier’s research group had taken one of the most dangerous flu viruses ever known and made it even more dangerous – by tweaking it genetically to make it more contagious. What shocked the researchers was how easy it had been, Dr. Fouchier said. Just a few mutations was all it took to make the virus go airborne.

The discovery has led advisers to the United States government, which paid for the research, to urge that the details be kept secret and not published in scientific journals to prevent the work from being replicated by terrorists, hostile governments or rogue scientists.

Journal editors are taking the recommendation seriously, even though they normally resist any form of censorship. Scientists, too, usually insist on their freedom to share information, but fears of terrorism have led some to say this information is too dangerous to share.

If, however, that were to change and bird flu were to develop the ability to spread from person to person, scientists fear that it could cause the deadliest flu pandemic in history. The experiment in Rotterdam transformed the virus into the supergerm of virologists’ nightmares, enabling it to spread from one animal to another through the air. The work was done in ferrets, which catch flu the same way people do and are considered the best model for studying it.

“This research should not have been done,” said Richard H. Ebright, a chemistry professor and bioweapons expert at Rutgers University who has long opposed such research.
