21 Signs That This Could Be A Long, Hot, Crazy Summer For The Global Financial System!

Global financial system collapse perfect storm in the summer?

  • 21 Signs That This Could Be A Long, Hot, Crazy Summer For The Global Financial System!
    by http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/
The summer of 2012 is shaping up to be very similar to the summer of 2008.  Things look incredibly bleak for the global economy right now.  Economic activity and lending are slowing down all over the planet, and fear is starting to paralyze the entire global financial system.  Things did not look this bad back in the summer of 2011 and things certainly did not look this bad back in the summer of 2010.  It is almost as if a “perfect storm” is brewing.
    -
Today, the global financial system is a finely balanced pyramid of risk, debt and leverage.  Such a system requires a high degree of confidence and stability.  But when confidence disappears and fear and panic take over, the house of cards can literally start collapsing at any time.  Right now we are watching a slow-motion train wreck unfold and nobody seems to know how to stop it.  Unless some kind of a miracle happens, things are going to look much different when we reach the start of 2013 than they do today.

    -
The following are 21 signs that this could be a long, hot, crazy summer for the global financial system….
    -
#1 There are rumors that major financial institutions are cancelling employee vacations in anticipation of a major financial crisis this summer.  The following are a couple of tweets quoted in a recent article by Kenneth Schortgen Jr….
    -
Todd Harrison tweet: Hearing (not confirmed) @PIMCO asked employees to cancel vacations to have “all hands on deck” for a Lehman-type tail event. Confirm?
Todd M. Schoenberger tweet: @todd_harrison @pimco I heard the same thing, but I also heard the same for “some” at JPM. Heard it today at a hedge fund luncheon.
    -
As Schortgen points out, these are not just your average Twitter users….
    -
Todd Harrison is the CEO of the award winning internet media company Minyanville, while Todd Shoenberger is a managing principal at the Blackbay Group, and an adjunct professor of Finance at Cecil College.
    -
#2 The Bank for International Settlements is warning that global lending is contracting at the fastest pace since the financial crisis of 2008.
    -
#3 Unemployment in the eurozone has hit a brand new all-time record high.
    -
#4 The government of Portugal has just announced that it will be bailing out three major banks.
    -
#5 Many U.S. banking stocks are being hit extremely hard.  For example, Morgan Stanley stock has declined by 40 percent over the past four months.
    -
#6 Yields on Spanish debt and yields on Italian debt have been absolutely soaring.

‘Human Barcode’ Could Make Society More Organized But Invades Privacy, Civil Liberties!

The U.S. continues to flirt with the idea of a ‘human barcode,’ an electronic ID chip assigned to every person at birth.

  • ‘Human barcode’ could make society more organized, but invades  privacy, civil  liberties!
    by  , http://www.nydailynews.com/
As tech companies  work to develop ID chips, how long until we’re no longer anonymous?
    -
Would you barcode your baby? Microchip implants have become standard practice for our pets, but have been  a tougher sell when it comes to the idea of putting them in people.
    -
Science fiction author Elizabeth Moon last week rekindled the debate on  whether it’s a good idea to “barcode” infants at birth in an interview on a BBC  radio program.
    -
“I would insist on every individual having a unique ID permanently attached — a barcode if you will — an implanted chip to provide an easy, fast inexpensive  way to identify individuals,” she said on The Forum, a weekly show that features  “a global thinking” discussing a “radical, inspiring or controversial idea” for  60 seconds .
    -
Moon believes the tools most commonly used for surveillance and  identification — like video cameras and DNA testing — are slow, costly and often  ineffective. In her opinion, human barcoding would save a lot of time and money.
    -
The proposal isn’t too far-fetched – it is already technically possible to  “barcode” a human – but does it violate our rights to privacy? Opponents argue that giving up anonymity would cultivate an “Orwellian” society where all citizens can be tracked.
    -
“To have a record of everywhere you go and everything you do would be a  frightening thing,” Stanley, senior policy analyst at the American Civil  Liberties Union, told the Daily News. He warned of a “check-point society” where everyone carries an internal  passport and has to show their papers at every turn, he said.
    -
“Once we let the government and businesses go down the road of nosing around  in our lives…we’re going to quickly lose all our privacy,” said Stanley. There are already, and increasingly, ways to electronically track people.  Since 2006, new U.S. passports include radio frequency identification tags  (RFID) that store all the information in the passport, plus a digital picture of  the owner.
    -
In 2002, an implantable ID chip called VeriChip was approved by the U.S.  Food and Drug Administration. The chip could be implanted in a person’s arm, and  when scanned, could pull up a 16 digit ID number containing information about  the user. It was discontinued in 2010 amid concerns about privacy and safety.
    -
Still scientists and engineers have not given up on the idea. A handful of enterprising companies have stepped into the void left by  VeriChip, and are developing ways to integrate technology and man.

“The ultimate goal that these people have in mind … is the goal to create a One World Government run by the banking industry .. run by the bankers! … The whole agenda is to create a One World Government where everybody has an RFID chip implanted !”
- Aaron Russo 0:15 onwards

-
“He’s (Rockefeller) the one who told me 11 months before 9/11 ever happen, there was going to be an event. .. And out of that event we will invade Afghanistan, (for) the pipelines to the Caspian sea. We were going to invade Iraq .. to take over the oil fields, establish a base in the Middle East and make it all a part of the New World Order! And we will go after Chavez Venezuela. Sure enough 9/11 happened ! … And there was going to be this War on Terror which has no real enemy. And the whole thing is a giant HOAX! … This whole War on Terror is a FRAUD! ”
– Aaron Russo 2:30 onwards

Every barcode has a ’666′ in it. The explanation is: They are the left, right and centre delimiters! Yeah right !

Ron Paul’s Texas Straight Talk: War Drums for Syria?

  • War Drums for Syria? by Ron Paul
War drums are beating again in Washington. This time Syria is in the crosshairs after a massacre there last week left more than 100 dead. As might be expected from an administration with an announced policy of “regime change” in Syria, the reaction was to blame only the Syrian government for the tragedy, expel Syrian diplomats from Washington, and announce that the US may attack Syria even without UN approval. Of course, the idea that the administration should follow the Constitution and seek a Declaration of War from Congress is considered even more anachronistic now than under the previous administration.
    -
It may be the case that the Syrian military was responsible for the events last week, but recent bombings and attacks have been carried out by armed rebels with reported al-Qaeda ties. With the stakes so high, it would make sense to wait for a full investigation — unless the truth is less important than stirring up emotions in favor of a US attack.
    -
There is ample reason to be skeptical about US government claims amplified in mainstream media reports. How many times recently have lies and exaggerations been used to push for the use of force overseas? It was not long ago that we were told Gaddafi was planning genocide for the people of Libya, and the only way to stop it was a US attack. Those claims turned out to be false, but by then the US and NATO had already bombed Libya, destroying its infrastructure, killing untold numbers of civilians, and leaving a gang of violent thugs in charge.
    -
Likewise, we were told numerous falsehoods to increase popular support for the 2003 war on Iraq, including salacious stories of trans-Atlantic drones and WMDs. Advocates of war did not understand the complexities of Iraqi society, including its tribal and religious differences. As a result, Iraq today is a chaotic mess, with its ancient Christian population eliminated and the economy set back decades. An unnecessary war brought about by lies and manipulation never ends well.
    -
Earlier still, we were told lies about genocide and massacres in Kosovo to pave the way for President Clinton’s bombing campaign against Yugoslavia. More than 12 years later, that region is every bit as unstable and dangerous as before the US intervention — and American troops are still there.
    -
The story about the Syrian massacre keeps changing, which should raise suspicions. First, we were told that the killings were caused by government shelling, but then it was discovered that most were killed at close range with handgun fire and knives. No one has explained why government forces would take the time to go house to house binding the hands of the victims before shooting them, and then retreat to allow the rebels in to record the gruesome details. No one wants to ask or answer the disturbing questions, but it would be wise to ask ourselves who benefits from these stories.
    -
We have seen media reports over the past several weeks that the Obama administration is providing direct “non-lethal” assistance to the rebels in Syria while facilitating the transfer of weapons from other Gulf States. This semi-covert assistance to rebels we don’t know much about threatens to become overt intervention. Last week Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said about Syria, “I think the military option should be considered.” And here all along I thought it was up to Congress to decide when we go to war, not the generals.
    -
We are on a fast track to war against Syria. It is time to put on the brakes.

Bruce Krasting: Another Bear Awakens! Currency Flight To Safety! Currency War!

Click on image to goto article!

  • A global currency crisis is brewing! Competitive devaluations, currency wars are the order of the day. I do not believe the western Illuminati will allow any other currency to challenge their USD (and Euro) for supremacy. It will destroy their global monetary hegemony. When the Euro and USD goes down, all other fiat currencies will also go down the toilet bowl of currency debasement. The Illuminist banksters will attack other fiat currencies aggressively. Once they introduce their One World Currency backed by gold, they will initiate their attacks on all fiat currencies again ie. all fiat currencies will lose value compared to the One World Currency! They will attempt to persuade/force all countries to goto their One World Currency and their Global Supra-National Central Bank–> ’666′. War is brewing!

    Another Bear Awakens!
    by Bruce Krasting, http://www.zerohedge.com/
I talked with a Swiss banker from Geneva today. The conversation went like this:
    -
BK – Are you guys still seeing boatloads of money coming in from outside the country?
Geneva – Yes, the money is still coming. In the past two weeks the Swiss National Bank (SNB) was forced to intervene in support of the 1.20 peg. The amounts were big, over EUR 20 billion was purchased.
    -
BK – What is going on at the borders? Is money still coming in by car?
Geneva – Yes. The border guards can’t search every car. The latest development is that the Border Guards are now searching some of the cars that are leaving Switzerland.
    -
BK – Why would border guards stop cars that are leaving Switzerland? What are they looking for?
Geneva – Mules. Professionals who smuggle money. It is very easy for a Swiss to go to a bank and withdraw a large amount of paper money. The mules bring the cash over the border to French and Italians who want Swiss Francs. The Mules also bring Euros into Germany for those who have private accounts in Switzerland who want cash to spend.
    -
BK – Is the paper money coming in and out of the country being done in large amounts?
Geneva – Yes this is big, but compared to the bank transfers that go on, or the amounts held in Euro Swiss (rolling FX positions) is much much larger.
    -
BK – Where is the money coming from?
Geneva – From all over the globe, but not the USA. If an American comes in, we just show them the door.
    -
BK – Where does the most money come from, France or Italy?
Geneva – In the past few weeks we have seen more inflows from Russians than any other country.
    -
BK – Russians? That’s surprising. What do you attribute this to?
Geneva – It’s politics and economics together. People are afraid.
    -
    T
his ain’t about Greece any more folks.
