    WASHINGTON – The Russian military anticipates that an attack will occur on  Iran by the summer and has developed an action plan to move Russian troops  through neighboring Georgia to stage in Armenia, which borders on the Islamic  republic, according to informed Russian sources.

    Russian Security Council head Viktor Ozerov said that Russian General  Military Headquarters has prepared an action plan in the event of an attack on  Iran. Dmitry Rogozin, who recently was the Russian ambassador to the North Atlantic  Treaty Organization, or NATO, warned against an attack on Iran.

    “Iran is our neighbor,” Rogozin said. “If Iran is involved in any military  action, it’s a direct threat to our security.” Rogozin now is the deputy Russian  prime minister and is regarded as anti-Western. He oversees Russia’s defense  sector.

    Russian Defense Ministry sources say that the Russian military doesn’t  believe that Israel has sufficient military assets to defeat Iranian defenses  and further believes that U.S. military action will be necessary.

    The implication of preparing to move Russian troops not only is to protect  its own vital regional interests but possibly to assist Iran in the event of  such an attack. Sources add that a Russian military buildup in the region could  result in the Russian military potentially engaging Israeli forces, U.S. forces,  or both.

    Informed sources say that the Russians have warned of “unpredictable  consequences” in the event Iran is attacked, with some Russians saying that the  Russian military will take part in the possible war because it would threaten  its vital interests in the region.

    The influential Russian Nezavisimaya Gazeta newspaper has quoted a Russian  military source as saying that the situation forming around Syria and Iran  “causes Russia to expedite the course of improvement of its military groups in  the South Caucasus, the Caspian, Mediterranean and Black Sea regions.”

    This latest information comes from a series of reports and leaks from  official Russian spokesmen and government news agencies who say that an Israeli  attack is all but certain by the summer.

    Because of the impact on Russian vital interests in the region, sources say  that Russian preparations for such an attack began two years ago when Russian  Military Base 102 in Gyumri, Armenia, was modernized. It is said to occupy a  major geopolitical position in the region.

    Families of Russian servicemen from the Russian base at Gyumri in Armenia  close to the borders of Georgia and Turkey already have been evacuated, Russian  sources say.

    (Reuters) – The Indian government will offer tax incentives to exporters for sales in rupees to Iran, in the latest effort by New Delhi to bolster exports in return for oil from the Islamic Republic squeezed by Western sanctions, a finance ministry official said.

    Following U.S. and European Union sanctions against Tehran over its nuclear program, New Delhi is under pressure to cut oil imports from its second-biggest supplier, which provides about 12 percent of its oil needs.

    India has publicly taken a stand alongside other rapidly emerging countries, including China and Brazil, that it would follow only U.N. sanctions, a position criticized by conservatives in Washington. To skirt the sanctions, India this year decided to buy oil through a mechanism that lets refiners deposit rupees, which are not freely traded on global markets, for about 45 percent of Iranian crude purchases in an account at India’s UCO Bank.

    India sent a trade delegation in March to Iran to boost merchandise exports as a way of securing oil in return. But the delegation came back empty handed, and Indian exporters have complained of difficulties in trading through the new mechanism.

    In response, the finance ministry will now offer tax incentives in the range of 4-12 percent of the value of products to exporters for sales to Iran in rupees. That brings them on a level playing field with exports sold in freely convertible currencies, such as the dollar.

    His diminishment of two of the three co-equal branches of government has caught the attention many citizens, and now a legal expert has weighed in with a stark warning about the future of the nation.

    “I think the president is dangerously close to totalitarianism,” Judge Andrew Napolitano, a Fox News analyst, said. “A few months ago he was saying the Congress doesn’t count. The Congress doesn’t mean anything. I am going to rule by decree and by administrative regulation. Now he’s basically saying the Supreme Court doesn’t count. It doesn’t matter what they think. They can’t review our legislation.

    “That would leave just him as the only branch of government standing,” he said.     The BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in late March held a summit in New Delhi, which can be considered the beginning of a new global financial and political order. In five years this world will be unrecognizable. The Anglo-Saxon model of governance of the world that flourished in the 1990s is losing its way and is being replaced by the Sino-Russian one. Yuan came close to international recognition, and with the adoption of Brazil and India into the UN Security Council the West will lose its political hegemony.

    In 2008, the Wall Street’s practice of inflating financial bubbles in alliance with the U.S. Congress led to the collapse of neoliberalism. As Western politicians have not been able to build a coherent model of its resuscitation, the financial crisis is smoothly transforming into the political one. If President Obama advocates for the return of the industry to the country, what kind of subsequent prosperity of the United States are we talking about? The globalized economy has gradually shifted production to China, India and Brazil, where labor is cheaper, and tax and other legislation is much softer. So far there are no obvious reasons as to why Obama will return it to the United States.

In 2035 the BRICS countries will outrun G7 in terms of the economic potential. The volume of trade within the block grew from $27 billion in 2002 to $250 billion in 2011.

    The main interests of the groups include the need to change the present world order, which is based on the global leadership of the U.S. dollar and its leading position as a major world currency. This order was approved by the agreements in Bretton Woods in 1944, at the end of World War II. The U.S. allies in Europe panicked before the inevitable spread of Soviet socialism and were happy to have hidden under the wing of the economically powerful neighbor in the Atlantic. The economic rationale for cooperation among the BRICS is clear today, but more serious political points of contact are found. Here Russia rules, because it was President Medvedev who most emphatically called for political unity. The unity for the first time was obvious on the Libyan issue.

    The countries agreed to abstain on the vote of resolution 1973 of the UN Security Council, and after the military operation were critical of the coalition of NATO. This unity can be described today as “friendship against NATO.” Russia, despite a smaller contribution to the global economy (two to three percent of 18), is considered promising for investments due to the large potential of the consumer market and sustainable autonomous growth. South Africa (39 per cent of the GDP of all sub-Saharan Africa) joined the block on the invitation to make the alliance global and build a “bridge” to Brazil. In addition, the partners of South Africa in the BRICS gained access to the promising African market, which is particularly important for Brazil and China. At a recent summit in New Delhi two important statements were made. The first one is geo-financial (about creating a joint Development Bank in future) and the second – geopolitical (condemning the war rhetoric and sanctions of the West against Iran and Syria). It should be noted that the leading U.S. media angrily commented on these statements.

    The Financial Times, for example, published an article stating that the BRICS countries are asking for more power in the IMF. The paper concludes that if the BRICS are unable to overthrow the American director and replace him with a single candidate, the block will cease to fund the IMF and will focus on the Development Bank mentioned in New Delhi. The American press has stressed that the Development Bank is not to rival the IMF. This is a strange statement, considering that the China Development Bank has a capital of two times greater than the entire capital of the IMF.

    Dr. Lundell explained that inflammation in our arterial walls is the real culprit for heart disease and stated that “the injury and inflammation in our blood vessels is caused by the low fat diet recommended for years by mainstream medicine.”

    Studies reveal the truth about statins, high cholesterol and inflammation
    For several decades, mainstream medicine has spent hundreds of millions of dollars in advertising and propaganda creating and perpetuating the high cholesterol myth. As a result, millions of Americans have followed the advice to severely restrict their intakes of fats and tens of millions have taken dangerous cholesterol-lowering statin drugs.

    As Dr. Lundell revealed, the emerging truth is that inflammation is the real culprit in heart disease and drugs and diets designed to lower cholesterol actually contribute to heart disease as well as other health problems. Recent year studies on statin drugs have backed up Dr. Lundell and demonstrated that what few benefits may be derived from dangerous statin drugs actually come from lowering inflammation levels.

    For example, researchers with the recent large-scale JUPITER study found that patients who had “healthy cholesterol profiles” but who also had high CRP levels (a marker for inflammation) dramatically reduced their risks of cardiovascular events and death when they took a statin drug which lowered measured CRP levels.2

    The conclusions of other recent year statin drug studies give further indications that lowering inflammation is a primary mechanism for cardiovascular benefits. Some excerpts:

    “Patients who have low CRP levels after statin therapy have better clinical outcomes than those with higher CRP levels, regardless of the resultant level of LDL cholesterol.”3

    “The reduced rate of progression of atherosclerosis associated with intensive statin treatment, as compared with moderate statin treatment, is significantly related to greater reductions in the levels of both atherogenic lipoproteins and CRP.”4

    “These results demonstrate that statins reduce IL-6-induced CRP production . . .These findings furnish new evidence for direct antiinflammatory properties of statins . . .”5

    “initiation of statin therapy was associated with improved survival regardless of the lipid levels. The benefit of statin therapy occurred primarily in patients with elevated CRP.”6

    Indications are that mainstream medicine intends to continue espousing the high cholesterol myth while using the results of studies about inflammation-lowering to tout additional “benefits” for statin drugs.

    The inconvenient truth is that statin drugs are not needed to lower inflammation any more than they are needed to lower cholesterol. Natural items such as diet, lifestyle and natural foods and herbs such as turmeric, ginger and omega-3s can effectively lower inflammation far more safely than statin drugs.

    According to Dr. Lundell and other experts, the simple solution to quieting inflammation and preventing heart disease is to return to foods closer to their natural state, include colorful vegetables and fruits and some healthy fats in our diets, build muscle, eat more protein and cut down or eliminate foods with inflammation-causing omega-6 fats like corn and soybean oil.
