  5. Hello,
I have recently started a Yahoo Group on Abrupt Climate Change. Those of you with a strong interest in this and related weather activity and the reasons why etc., plse feel free to join this new group. I would especially be grateful for anyone who has access to satellite data that may or may not confirm this info (that the Gulf Stream has broken up as of July and not restarted). If this is true it can’t be hidden for long, they could only be banking on it restarting soon … otherwise no way can it be hidden.

Why?? Because we are talking about the Great Ocean Conveyor System. A shutdown of this current will leave most of Europe like Siberia within a couple years or so; and likely a large part of North America as well. It could kick off an event like the last mini-ice age at the bare minimum, or like the Greater Dryas if more severe. That was a time 12000 yrs ago when 85% of the large mammals in North America went extinct.

In addition, the Clovis culture was all but extinguished by the changes in climate. The world as a whole became cooler and dryer. So much of the fresh water was tied up in the glaciers, and snowpack, that much of the world became a desert, the rest steppe for most part. I have links to other info and articles on my site, and some maps as well incl. a representation of climate change should this cycle be repeating.

Warning, there are those that say this is a natural cycle that repeats regardless; our actions may only be accelerating the process.
