This Year US Public Debt Could Reach End Game !

Every new dollar in debt result in negative growth! Game over!

  • Whether it is this year or 2011, I know it is close. I don’t think based on current trend, D-day is 5-10 years away. More like within the next 3 years.
     
  • The chart above illustrates the problem America is in. No amount of debt stimulus plan will result in positive growth. Thus, what we see is an oxymoronic ’jobless growth’ recovery! The government can only manipulate economic statistics for so long. The chickens are coming home to roost. Whether the snakes like it or not, the economy need to go to a phase of debt liquidation: ie debt reduction. The current debt of over US$12T at 3% interest amounts to  US$360B in interest annually. This is 16-18% of tax revenues. When we include unfunded liabilities, the debt is easily US$100T.
     
  • With social security, Medicare and Medicaid funding in negative territory to the tune of US$29B (2010), things are definitely coming to a head! How long can this Ponzi scheme last? Not much longer! Maurizio d’Orlando opines:
     

    In 2008, the size of the debt was such that it was quite clear that it was not sustainable. Now we have a timeframe to measure the likelihood of insolvency for the US public debt, and it is this year. The reason for that is described in an article whose title needs no explanation: “The bankruptcy of the United States is now certain”.[4]
     
    The abyss of debt 
    By the end of 2010, the US Treasury will have to refinance US$ 2 trillion in short-term debt, plus additional deficit spending for this year, estimated to be around US$ 1.5 trillion (US$ 1.6 trillion today two months after the original article was published). Together, the US Treasury will need to borrow US$ 3.5 trillion (US$ 3.6 according to this writer) in just one year.
      
    In 1999, two well-known economists—Alan Greenspan and Pablo Guidotti—published a formula in an academic paper. Kept secret for a long time, it is designed to predict with precision when a country’s public debt will lead it to be insolvent. Called the Greenspan-Guidotti rule, it says that to avoid a default, countries should maintain hard currency reserves equal to at least 100 per cent of their short-term foreign debt maturities.
      
    According to the author, the United States holds 8,133.5 metric tonnes of gold (the world’s largest holder). At November 2009 dollar values, that is about U$ 300 billion.[5] The US strategic petroleum reserve shows a current total position of 725 million barrels. At current dollar prices, that is roughly US$ 58 billion worth of oil. According to the IMF, the US has US$ 136 billion in foreign currency reserves. Altogether, that is some US$ 500 billion in reserves (US$ 455.5 billion according to AsiaNews).
      
    Foreigners hold 44 per cent of US$ two trillion short-term US debt; that is US$ 880 billion. Total domestic savings in the United States are only around US$ 600 billion annually. If the United States needs to sell US$ 3.5 trillion (or US$ 3.6 trillion) in Treasury bills, and all domestic savings combined are put into US Treasury debt, the United States will still fall short by nearly US$ 3 trillion. Where is the rest of the money going to come from?
     
    China’s gold 
    Not China, nor India or any other Asian countries. Last year, China has in fact proportionately reduced its holdings in US Treasury bills in relation to rest of its reserves.
      
    Recently, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) put up 191.3 tonnes of gold for sale. Some analysts had earlier suggested that China might be interested in buying it. Assets in dollars are estimated to represent over 70 per cent of China’s US$ 2.4 trillion foreign exchange reserves. As of April 2009, China held 1,054 tonnes of gold or 1.2 per cent of its GDP. That falls well below the world average. Indeed, gold represents less than 10 per cent of China’s total reserves.
      
    According to the China Daily[6], a semi-official mouthpiece for the Communist Party of China, China is not likely to buy IMF gold because it might upset the market. However, some Chinese commentators believe that Beijing should increase its gold reserves to 1,800. Sources told AsiaNews that China’s real goal is 4,000 tonnes.
      
    The same is true for other Asian countries. For instance, India, Mauritius and Sri Lanka have bought 212 tonnes sold by the IMF. 
    As for Japan, it is likely to continue avoiding open confrontation with the United States; but the real intentions of its top financial circles might be inferred from a mysterious and unsolved incident that occurred last summer when two officials from Japan’s central bank were caught at the Italian-Swiss border town of Chiasso carrying US Treasury bills with a nominal value of US$ 134.5 billion.
       
    Since 1945, the US dollar has been the main international reserve currency. In theory, this gave the US Federal Reserve the power to issue debt securities at will, with the value of international trading assets. However, the Greenspan-Guidotti rule restricts this power.
     
    Whenever US insolvency becomes self-evident, no one dare say they did not know. The Greenspan who came up with the aforementioned formula is the same Alan Greenspan who chaired the Federal Reserve for 18 years and allowed speculative. i.e. “structured” finance to expand (based on poorly tested mathematical algorithms).
      
    This is the same Greenspan who in 1977 wrote a prophetic PhD dissertation (which was removed from his university at his request in 1987, when he became Fed chairman) on how financial bubbles develop in real estate and then burst. Not only was Greenspan aware of it, but so were US top financial circles. In other periods of history, this could lead to accusations of “treason”, but today our sense of personal and collective responsibility is more faded and faint than before. Alternatively, perhaps, there is a level of ultimate responsibility that is darker and runs deeper that the guilt of any one individual.[7]

The US’ Choreographed “Outrage” At Israel !

    The speeches at AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobby group, on Monday by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Netanyahu’s subsequent meeting with US President Barack Obama are widely seen as drawing to a close what Israeli ambassador to the US Michael Oren called the “most severe crisis in US-Israel relations” in decades. This rapprochement comes on the heels of a series of seemingly angry statements top members of the Obama Administration released, after Israel announced construction of 1,600 new illegal housing units in occupied East Jerusalem while US Vice President Joe Biden was in the country.
     
    In fact, the basis for the Obama Administration’s criticisms of the settlement announcement — as well as the significance of the crisis itself — has been widely misconstrued by both supporters and critics of Israel. AIPAC and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) were “shocked and stunned” that Biden and Clinton called the Israeli announcement “insulting.” AIPAC urged the administration to “take immediate steps to defuse the tension with the Jewish state” and “move away from public demands and unilateral deadlines directed at Israel.” Meanwhile, the ADL mused, “One can only wonder how far the US is prepared go in distancing itself from Israel.”

    Contrary to both of these positions, the Obama Administration merely reacted to a diplomatic affront it was dealt by the Israeli government. Israel’s announcement came on the same day that Biden had arrived in the country to proudly confirm the US’ “absolute, total and unvarnished” commitment to its ally, and commence indirect talks with the Palestinians.

    Clinton said the timing of the announcement was “insulting,” while top aide David Axelrod called it an “affront” that “seemed calculated” to undermine the peace talks. The Obama Administration hopes that this PR display will allow the US to fortify its farcical claim to be an “honest broker” in the peace process, provide Abbas the political cover to re-enter negotiations, and send a message to the Israeli government that American leaders are to be treated with respect. As CNN reported, Netanyahu has now set up a team to investigate why the settlement construction announcement was made during Biden’s visit.
     
    Netanyahu may well have been telling the truth when he claimed to be “surprised” by the public criticisms by the US government. The day before, one day after US envoy George Mitchell arrived to broker newly-announced “proximity talks,” the State Department explicitly approved Israel’s construction of 112 new apartments in an illegal settlement outside Bethlehem. The assent came despite Netanyahu’s declaration of a “moratorium” on settlement building, which he has insisted cannot include such illegal construction in Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem, a position the US has accepted.

    Yet even when the administration was at its most critical of Israel, following Obama’s speech in Cairo last year, Israel was reassured that the actions taken by the US would be “largely symbolic.” Indeed, Obama unconditionally re-authorized the loan guarantees program and massive US aid — conservatively estimated at $7 million per day — has continued without threat of reduction.Obviously, the Obama Administration is hardly concerned about Israeli violations of international law, previous agreements it has signed, or the human rights of the Palestinians. The implication throughout is that had the announcement come a week before Biden visited (or even a day before, as the Bethlehem announcement did) there would have been no problem. Indeed, just one week later, after the Israeli government announced construction on an additional 426 East Jerusalem settlement homes, Clinton “bolstered her support for the Jewish state,” according to The Washington Post. The Israeli army then opened fire on peaceful protestors in Gaza twice in two days, and carried out air strikes on targets in Gaza, while Clinton issued another statement saying that the steps offered by the Israeli government to resolve the dispute were “useful and productive.”
     
    The escalating repression continued Sunday, when the Israeli army shot and killed four Palestinian youths in 24 hours in the West Bank, two aged 18 and two 16. Simultaneously, Netanyahu issued a statement proclaiming that Israel would never cease building illegally in East Jerusalem as Ban Ki-moon arrived in Israel. Clearly, recent condemnations of these projects as “illegal” by Ban and the European Union did not stop Obama from welcoming Netanyahu to Washington on Monday with a private meeting, nor Clinton from proudly sharing the stage with him at the AIPAC conference to reaffirm the US commitment to support Israel’s rejection of the international consensus for resolving the conflict. Though she did say the settlements “undermine mutual trust,” she did not acknowledge their illegality and mostly stressed the threat that US support for them poses to its “credibility” as an “honest broker,” thus urging Israel to refrain from such flagrantly provocative behavior while reinforcing that the US-Israel relationship is “rock solid.”
     
    The US hopes that this pretended outrage will lend its role as “honest broker” enough credibility to keep the “peace process” moving, itself merely a PR facade that shields Israeli crimes from public scrutiny. If it does not, the US will undoubtedly pay little mind to the harsh words spoken this week and do as it has done before: blame the Palestinians for its failure and support Israeli repression.

    Canada reports mildest winter on record
    MONTREAL – Canada jumps into spring after having recorded the mildest and driest winter on record, Environment Canada reported Friday. The agency, which has compiled data from 1948, determined the average temperature throughout the country was four degrees Celsius above normal, said meteorologist Andre Cantin. Cantin said the country also saw 20 per cent less precipitation than normal, also a record.
     
    Warm winter ‘beyond shocking’
    From the balmy Arctic, to the open water of the St. Lawrence and snowless western fields, this winter has been the warmest and driest in Canadian record books. Environment Canada scientists report that winter 2009/10 was 4 C above normal, making it the warmest since nationwide records were first kept in 1948. It was also the driest winter on the 63-year record, with precipitation 22 per cent below normal nationally, and down 60 per cent in parts of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.
     
    “It’s beyond shocking,” David Phillips, a senior climatologist with Environment Canada, said Tuesday. Records have been shattered from “coast to coast to coast.” “It is truly a remarkable situation,” says Phillips, noting that he’s seen nothing like it in his 40 years of weather watching. He also warns that “the winter than wasn’t” may have set the stage for potentially “horrific” water shortages, insect infestations and wildfires this summer.

New England Journal of Medicine Reported Survey: Nearly One-Third of Doctors Could Leave Medicine if Health-Care Reform Bill Passes!

    Nearly one-third of all practicing physicians may leave the medical profession if President Obama signs current versions of health-care reform legislation into law, according to a     survey published in the latest issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
      
    The survey, which was conducted by the Medicus Firm, a leading physician search and consulting firm based in Atlanta and Dallas, found that a majority of physicians said health-care reform would cause the quality of American medical care to “deteriorate” and it could be the “final straw” that sends a sizeable number of doctors out of medicine.
      
    More than 29 percent (29.2) percent of the nearly 1,200 doctors who responded to the survey said they would quit the profession or retire early if health reform legislation becomes law. If a public option were included in the legislation, as several liberal Senators have indicated they would like, the number would jump to 45.7 percent.
     
    The medical journal published the results in its March and April edition, saying: “While a sudden loss of half of the nations physicians seems unlikely, a very dramatic decrease in the physician workforce could become a reality as an unexpected side effect of health reform.”
     
    Kevin Perpetua, managing partner for the Medicus Firm, reported that a reform bill could be “the final straw” in an already financially precarious industry.
     
    “Many physicians feel that they cannot continue to practice if patient loads increase while pay decreases,” Perpetua said in the study. “The overwhelming prediction from physicians is that health reform, if implemented inappropriately, could create a detrimental combination of circumstances, and result in an environment in which it is not possible for most physicians to continue practicing medicine.”
     
    “With an average debt of $140,000, and many graduates approaching a quarter of a million dollars in school loans, being a doctor is becoming less and less feasible,” Perpetua said. “Health-care reform and increasing government control of medicine may be the final straw that causes the physician workforce to break down.”
     
    The survey shows that many doctors already find their situations difficult:
     
    – 36 percent said that they would not recommend medicine as a profession to others, regardless of whether health-care reform passes; 
     
    – another 27 percent would still recommend medicine as a career, but not if the current reform proposal passes.
     
    In total, 63 percent of doctors would not recommend the profession after health-care reform passes. Just 12 percent do not recommend becoming a physician now but think they would if current reform proposals pass.
     
    Primary-care physicians, those who work in the critical fields of family and internal medicine, not only feel that they would want to quit but that they might be cast out of medicine. 46.3 percent of those physicians said that they would either want to leave medicine or that they would be “forced out” by the changes to the system. 
     
    Despite all the opposition to the bill as it stands, only a little more than 3 percent of respondents said the status quo was best, with the vast majority (62.7 percent) saying they believe changes are needed.
      
    The same 62.7 percent said they wanted reforms made, but that they “should be implemented in a more targeted, gradual way, as opposed to the sweeping overhaul that is in (the) legislation.”
      
    Andrea Santiago, a spokeswoman for the Medicus Firm, said those numbers were the most striking.
      
    “Please allow me to emphasize that 96 percent of the physicians surveyed in our report are in favor of health reform, in some form or fashion,” she told CNSNews.com in an e-mail. “To me, the fact that so many physicians surveyed want health reform, but relatively few are in favor of the current legislation, was one of the most significant, telling results.”
      
    Congressional Democratic leaders, meanwhile, have said that doctors favor the bill and are part of an “unprecedented coalition” of doctors rooting for its passage. The claim is based on the American Medical Association’s endorsement of the legislation in Congress.
     
    According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2008 there were 661,400 physicians and surgeons within the United States. Of that number, 250,000 are members of the American Medical Association (AMA) — and nearly 100,000 of those are medical students.
     
    Santiago explained the AMA could not claim to represent all doctors, nor perhaps could any other group, and said the potentially massive shortage of physicians has stayed largely out of the debate because public figures have been trying to speak for doctors instead of speaking to them.
      
    “I think the reason it hasn’t become a big issue in the political debate is maybe because no one else has really thought about the effects of health reform on the physician workforce. Or, maybe people didn’t want to think about it, but as recruiters we can’t help but think about it and take notice,” she said.
      
    “If you are not talking to physicians every day about their career plans, it may not occur to someone that it would even be an issue.  Plus, many public figures, media, and organizations are speaking for doctors in professional associations and groups, proclaiming ‘doctors want this.’ Without surveying each and every doctor, no one can claim that all doctors want this particular version of health reform, including us.”
      
    Santiago said one problem with a comprehensive bill was all the uncertainty about its effects that comes along with it.
      
    “When you’re on the phone with doctors each and every day, discussing their career plans, like we are as recruiters, you start to notice hot-buttons that are related to their career decisions, and health reform was increasingly and repeatedly coming up as an issue that was causing doctors apprehension when making career plans,” Santiago explained.
      
    “Many seemed frustrated by it.  Part of it, I think, is fear of the unknown — the current health reform bill is so large and all-encompassing, no one really knows for sure what will happen when/if this bill passes, so how does a physician make major career decisions when so much is hanging in the balance?”

FDA Warns Against Using Rotavirus Vaccine! Rotarix Rotavirus Vaccine Contaminated With Pig Virus!

    FDA warns against using rotavirus vaccine
    The Food and Drug Administration on Monday warned doctors and parents against using the Rotarix rotavirus vaccine until further testing can confirm that it is safe.
     
    The warning follows an academic research group’s discovery — subsequently confirmed by the FDA and Rotarix manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline — that the vaccine contains a pig virus called porcine circovirus 1, or PCV1. The virus is not known to cause illness in humans, and no adverse effects have been observed in children vaccinated with Rotarix, but the agency decided to err on the side of caution with the warning until more information can be obtained.

    Rotavirus causes severe diarrhea and dehydration and is thought to cause more than 500,000 deaths in infants worldwide each year, primarily in low- and middle-income countries. Before the introduction of RotaTeq in the U.S. in 2006, the disease caused an estimated 50,000 hospitalizations and several dozen deaths each year. Rotarix was introduced in 2008. Most U.S. children who have been vaccinated against rotavirus as part of their normal vaccinations have received RotaTeq, the FDA said. About 1 million have received Rotarix. 
     
    Rotarix rotavirus vaccine contaminated
    (CNN) – Federal health authorities recommended Monday that doctors suspend using Rotarix, one of two vaccines licensed in the United States against rotavirus, saying the vaccine is contaminated with material from a pig virus.

    Rotarix, made by GlaxoSmithKline, was approved by the FDA in 2008. The contaminant material is DNA from porcine circovirus 1, a virus from pigs that is not known to cause disease in humans or animals, Hamburg said. About 1 million children in the United States and about 30 million worldwide have gotten Rotarix vaccine, she said.

    The FDA learned about the contamination after an academic research team using a novel technique to look for viruses in a range of vaccines found the material in GlaxoSmithKline’s product and told the company, Hamburg said. The drug maker confirmed its presence in both the cell bank and the seed from which the vaccine is derived, suggesting its presence from the early stages of vaccine development, she said. The FDA then confirmed the drug maker’s findings.

Who Are Abraham’s Children?

  • This is a well written piece by Revered Ted Pike of the National Prayer Network. There can be no justification for abusing the Palestinian people!
      
    Christian evangelicals in America overwhelmingly supported creation of the Jewish state of Israel in the 20th century. Today, they remain its most fervent supporters. This is because the Bible tells us to bless the “seed of Abraham,” and evangelicals have believed this means his genetic descendants. Jews said they possess a divine land grant to own and occupy Palestine because God promised Abraham, “Unto thy seed will I give this land.” (Genesis 12:7) And evangelicals agree.
     
    But the apostle Paul, in Galatians 3, does not agree that all racial Jews are blessed by God. He says the “seed of Abraham” is singular, not plural. It refers only to Jesus Christ! It does not include Abraham’s wicked posterity. Abraham was promised heirs who would become as numerous “as the sands of the sea and the stars of heaven.” But Paul says those heirs aren’t racial heirs but spiritual ones who belong to Christ. They are righteous Jews and Gentiles throughout the ages who trust and obey God like the patriarchs did.
     
    Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say ‘and to seeds’ as referring to many but rather to one, ‘And to your seed,’ that is, Christ …And if you belong to Christ then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:16, 29)
     
    Nowhere does the Bible say the promises of God—given individually to the righteous patriarchs—unconditionally apply to unrighteous Jews, including most of the 7 million in Israel today. God in fact refuses to extend His covenant to wicked Jews because of a simple fact: Unrepentant sinners of any race have no inheritance from a holy God—on earth or in heaven. They can only expect God’s wrath.
     
    Evangelicals misinterpret God’s blessing to Abraham and also misread His curses. God told Abraham, “I will bless them that bless you and curse them that curse you.” (Gen. 12:3) Most Christians mistakenly fear that to criticize evil Jewish leadership is to “curse God’s chosen people.” Result: they unconditionally support Israel’s most egregious injustices. But this verse applies to righteous Abraham and only to those descendants who also walk in righteousness.
     
    Palestine: Promised to Jews?
    Yes, God did promise the land of Israel to Abraham’s genetic descendants. But only obedient Jews can enjoy that inheritance. Paul says someday a Jewish remnant will repent at Christ’s return; “the Lord shall return to Zion and turn ungodliness from Jacob (Rom. 11:26) The Promised Land is their birthright. Out of the dry bones of Jewish unbelief, Christ will raise up a nation of saints (Ezekiel 37); and for the first time in at least 2,000 years, believing Jews will be divinely endorsed to occupy Palestine.
     
    Unrepentant Jews are not blessed in this way. Christ-rejecting world Jewry today does not have God’s favoritism, blessing or protection. Paul says, “For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children.” On the contrary, “It is through Isaac [through faith] that your offspring will be reckoned” ( Rom. 9:6,7). Unbelieving Jews are part of what Christ described as “the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews but lie” (Rev. 3:9).
     
    When He was about to be crucified by such wicked Jews, Jesus told the Jewish nation they would never see Him again until they said, “Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord” (Luke 13:35). He meant it. Israel today cannot expect to see Christ’s guidance or protection in her national life.
     
    During the 20 th century, Jewish leaders rammed an arrogant, violent return down the throats of the Arab world, inciting what has become international Arab terrorism. The Jewish state was created through terrorizing 800,000 Arabs into fleeing their ancestral lands and through massive arms shipments from Stalin. Israel “saw” victory in 1948, not by the hand of God but by the arm of the flesh. In more than two dozen of the clearest Old Testament Scriptures, God says Jews will be exiled if they disobey.     God’s conditional terms of covenant could not be more clearly stated than in Deuteronomy 7:12.
     
    Then it shall come about, because you listen to these judgments and keep and do them, that the Lord your God will keep with you His covenant and His lovingkindness which He swore to your forefathers.
     
    God’s terms are as simple today as then: Jews, keep faith with God, and God will keep His covenant with you. Forsake obedience and lose His blessings and protections.
     
    Will God Hear our Day of Prayer?
    Interestingly, Orthodox Jews for 1,900 years agreed that God required obedience from Jews to occupy the Promised Land. Although bitter about the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, they believed God righteously exiled their fathers because they had disobeyed Him. Traditional Judaism said when Israel’s messiah comes he will effect moral renewal and “turn the hearts of the children to the fathers and the hearts of the fathers to the children” (Malachi 4:6). Only a return to wholehearted obedience to “God’s law” (the Talmud) would entitle Jews to reestablish a national homeland.
     
    But these beliefs changed at the beginning of the 20th century. Secular Zionist Jews like Theodore Herzl said obedience no longer mattered; political action could fulfill Isaiah’s visions and make possible Jewish occupation of Palestine. Today, only a small minority of ultra-Orthodox Jews, such as Neturei Karta, still teach the demand for obedience. Orthodox/secular Jews and most evangelicals agree it no longer matters. Somehow God has forgotten or waived His demands laid down so extensively and insistently in the Bible.
     
    Yet God hasn’t changed. He said the Jews turned away from Him, but He remained the same (Malachi 3:6). Those who have changed and forgotten God’s law are not only the Jews—but tens of millions of evangelicals.
     
    As American Christians prepare to observe the National Day of Prayer on May 6, the question must be asked: “Could the church’s support of an ungodly return of Jews to Israel be viewed as sin that prevents God from healing America?” Yes. Scripture says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (Psalm 66:18). The church has promoted spiritual lawlessness regarding Israel. It has blessed an emerging anti-Christ system which forbids the gospel, persecutes believers in Israel today, and lays the foundation for eventual world government ruled by Israel’s false Messiah, Anti-Christ.     On May 1 (preceding the National Day of Prayer) evangelicals will descend on the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. to observe “May Day: a Cry to God for Our Nation in Distress.” The agenda includes an extensive list of national sins for which to repent. It does not mention one of evangelicals’ greatest sins over the past century: spurning God’s clearest warnings that anti-Christ Jews must not own and occupy Palestine. Generations of evangelicals have joined largely atheist Jewish Zionists to trample God’s law and, in turn, trample the indigenous Palestinians, inflaming the whole Arab world against not only America but also the gospel.
     
    I completely support national prayer. But God may not answer the prayers of those in blatant disrespect of His will. He honors people He respects – those who do not support evil, but hunger to know His law and keep it.

Health Care Reform Bill Dooms America to Pharma-Dominated Sickness And Suffering!

  • What is this Obama health care bill about? It is about the fascist corporate takeover of America. It is just stealing from Americans plain and simple. You get less health care, pay more for it and the government has the right to the complete takeover of your bank accounts. America is rapidly becoming worse than Soviet Union at its worse.     Today the medical mafia struck another devastating blow to the health and freedom of all Americans. With the support of an inarguably corrupt Congress that has simply abandoned the real needs of the American people, the sick-care industry has locked in a high-profit scheme of disease and monopoly-priced pharmaceuticals in a nation that can ill afford either one.
     
    And this Pharma-funded betrayal, it turns out, was led by the Democrats. Passed on a 219-212 vote that was only accomplished thanks to closed-door, last-minute secret meetings among the last holdouts, this new legislation puts America under the stranglehold of the medical mafia while doing absolutely nothing to address real health care reform. There is no mention in the bill, for example, of vitamin D for preventing cancer, or orthomolecular medicine for preventing degenerative disease. There’s not even a word about protecting health freedom or ending the century of oppression that has been waged against naturopathic practitioners by the AMA, FDA and FTC.
     
    The new legislation does, however, lock in billions of dollars in monopoly profits for the pharmaceutical companies — the same companies who spent millions of dollars pushing for its passage and who depend on the continuation of sickness and disease for their future profits.
     
    There’s only one problem with this health care reform bill: It doesn’t reform health care. It has almost nothing to do with health care at all, in fact: It’s really more of an effort to expand a broken sick-care system. When faced with the problem that our sick-care system doesn’t work, Congress somehow decided that fixing the problem merely involved expanding the failures to include everyone!
     
    And you don’t even get a choice in the matter, either. All Americans are now required to pay into a sick-care system of monopolized, pharmaceutical medicine even if they reject that failed system of medicine. So the healthy people who actually take responsibility for their health are financially penalized and forced to subsidize profits for drug companies!
