  Costs are out of control, and priorities are skewed in the interest of rich organized interest groups at the expense of the vast majority of citizens. For example, war at all cost, which enriches the armaments industry, the officer corps and the financial firms that handle the war’s financing, takes precedence over the needs of American citizens. There is no money to provide the uninsured with health care, but Pentagon officials have told the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee in the House that every gallon of gasoline delivered to US troops in Afghanistan costs American taxpayers $400. 
   
  “It is a number that we were not aware of and it is worrisome,” said Rep. At $400 per gallon, that comes to a $320,000,000 daily fuel bill for the Marines alone. Only a country totally out of control would squander resources in this way. While the US government squanders $400 per gallon of gasoline in order to kill women and children in Afghanistan, many millions of Americans have lost their jobs and their homes and are experiencing the kind of misery that is the daily life of poor third world peoples. Americans are living in their cars and in public parks. America’s cities, towns, and states are suffering from the costs of economic dislocations and the reduction in tax revenues from the economy’s decline. Yet, Obama has sent more troops to Afghanistan, a country half way around the world that is not a threat to America.  
   
  It costs $750,000 per year for each soldier we have in Afghanistan. The soldiers, who are at risk of life and limb, are paid a pittance, but all of the privatized services to the military are rolling in excess profits. One of the great frauds perpetuated on the American people was the privatization of services that the US military traditionally performed for itself. “Our” elected leaders could not resist any opportunity to create at taxpayers’ expense private wealth that could be recycled to politicians in campaign contributions. 
   
  Republicans and Democrats on the take from the private insurance companies maintain that the US cannot afford to provide Americans with health care and that cuts must be made even in Social Security and Medicare. So how can the US afford bankrupting wars, much less totally pointless wars that serve no American interest? 
   
  The enormous scale of foreign borrowing and money creation necessary to finance Washington’s wars are sending the dollar to historic lows. The dollar has even experienced large declines relative to currencies of third world countries such as Botswana and Brazil. The decline in the dollar’s value reduces the purchasing power of Americans’ already declining incomes. Despite the lowest level of housing starts in 64 years, the US housing market is flooded with unsold homes, and financial institutions have a huge and rising inventory of foreclosed homes not yet on the market. 
   
  Industrial production has collapsed to the level of 1999, wiping out a decade of growth in industrial output. The enormous bank reserves created by the Federal Reserve are not finding their way into the economy. Instead, the banks are hoarding the reserves as insurance against the fraudulent derivatives that they purchased from the gangster Wall Street investment banks. The regulatory agencies have been corrupted by private interests. Frontline http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/warning/ reports that Alan Greenspan, Robert Rubin, and Larry Summers blocked Brooksley Born, the head of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission from regulating derivatives. President Obama rewarded Larry Summers for his idiocy by appointing him Director of the National Economic Council. What this means is that profits for Wall Street will continue to be leeched from the diminishing blood supply of the American economy. 
   
  An unmistakable sign of third world despotism is a police force that sees the pubic as the enemy. Thanks to the federal government, our local police forces are now militarized and imbued with hostile attitudes toward the public. SWAT teams have proliferated, and even small towns now have police forces with the firepower of US Special Forces. Summons are increasingly delivered by SWAT teams that tyrannize citizens with broken down doors, a $400 or $500 repair born by the tyrannized resident. Recently a mayor and his family were the recipients of incompetence by the town’s local SWAT team, which mistakenly wrecked the mayor’s home, terrorized his family, and killed the family’s two friendly Labrador dogs. 
   
  If a town’s mayor can be treated in this way, what do you think is the fate of the poor white or black? Or the idealistic student who protests his government’s inhumanity? In any failed state, the greatest threat to the population comes from the government and the police. That is certainly the situation today in the USA. Americans have no greater enemy than their own government. Washington is controlled by interest groups that enrich themselves at the expense of the American people. The one percent that comprise the superrich are laughing as they say, “let them eat cake.”

Swine Flu Scam Reaches New Heights With Obama’s Emergency Declaration !

• All the fear mongering about swine flu is propaganda for the benefit of Big Pharma. Why build up this non-existent ‘Big Threat’ to our lives? Something else is being planned.   President Obama’s declaration that the H1N1 outbreak represents a “national emergency” seems to be little more than a public relations stunt aimed at intimidating reticent Americans into taking a vaccine that is becoming increasingly unpopular and unnecessary.
   
  Despite the fact that swine flu cases have seemingly peaked, allied to the fact that seasonal flu has proven far deadlier, on Friday night Obama declared a national emergency in order to “allow hospitals to better handle the surge in patients” by allowing them to bypass certain federal laws.
   
  What “surge in patients”? Swine flu has killed just 0.2 people per thousand who have caught the virus, a far lower potency than the annual flu virus which kills one patient per thousand, meaning swine flu has proven to be around 400% less deadly than the regular flu.
   
  Either the government is preparing for an engineered pandemic of which they have prior knowledge, or Obama’s announcement is a flagrant abuse of executive power and a ruse to coerce more people into taking the vaccine.
   
  As we have exhaustively documented, polls out of the U.S., as well as globally, show that a rapidly growing number of health professionals and the general public are refusing to take the vaccine because they either think it is unnecessary or they are concerned about potential side-effects
    
  Despite a desperate $16 million media propaganda campaign on behalf of the federal government that is trying to brainwash Americans into rolling up their sleeves and taking the shot, a majority of people aren’t buying the hype. The purpose of Obama’s declaration is to heighten fears surrounding swine flu and create the artificial impression that the vaccine is in demand, when the opposite is the true. The government hopes this will create a herd-like rush to take the shot amongst the general public. Early indications are that the ruse may be working.
   
  “I’ve already gotten a couple of calls from people today asking, ‘Where can I get the vaccine?’ whereas yesterday it was, ‘I don’t want that vaccine,’ ” said Arthur Caplan, a University of Pennsylvania bioethicist. “I’m worried about people getting panicky and the vaccine being diverted away from those who need it most.”
   
  Dr. Peter Hotez, a research professor and chairman of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Tropical Medicine at George Washington University, admitted that the term, “emergency declaration sounds more dramatic than it really is.” The government has already emphasized the notion that the vaccine is now in short supply, despite the fact that they previously assured the public there would be enough batches to cover the entire population by September. By combining this artificial scarcity with the scary notion that the situation now represents an “emergency,” more of the sheeple will be intimidated into lining up and taking the toxic shot so as to soothe the underlying fear that a pandemic is around the corner and they might not be protected against it. That way the pharmaceutical giants get to inflate their already record profits to new levels of greed and the government gets to inject its otherwise worthless stockpile of vaccines into the idiot public.
   
  Additionally, as Mike Adams and others have pointed out, classifying the situation as a national emergency triggers all kinds of tyrannical provisions that the feds have been waiting to unleash, while also empowering FEMA to lock down American cities under a state of medical martial law. Mandatory vaccinations, quarantines, curfews, involuntary kidnap, and warrantless searches and seizures are now just a heartbeat away because Obama’s order has in effect nullified the bill of rights.
   
  We can only hope that this is not a precursor to a major biological attack or pandemic outbreak, but it would hardly be a surprise if it was. The government has been preparing to unleash full-scale martial law upon the American public for years but whether swine flu will be enough to realize that agenda remains to be seen.
   
  At best, Obama’s Friday night declaration was a crude propaganda stunt designed to whip up fervor behind the H1N1 vaccine and corral millions of reluctant Americans into allowing their bodies to become a dumping ground for mercury, squalene, cancerous animal cells and God knows what other additives are in the shot, while the elite rest easy in the knowledge that they have privileged access to a clean version of the vaccine that contains none of these dangerous adjuvants.

Nurses Got Sick From Swine Flu Vaccine in Sweden! 190 Adverse Reactions, 1 Death Suspected!

  Yesterday 30 people had been reporting to the authorities in Sweden that they experienced such severe side effects that they felt the need to contact a hospital. Today the number is 140. The swedish newspaper Expressen is the only one in Sweden reporting on these cases and as usual this is most likely only the tip of a rather large iceberg.  UPDATE: According to Dagens Nyheter, the number of reported side effects are now a few hours later 190. 1 person dies after the injection but “no direct relation with the injection has been established”. The biggest medical scandal in the history of Sweden has just started.
   
  Even so, Annika Linde, director of The Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control (SMI) manages to spin this into something positive by stating “The vaccine has more side effects than the normal flu vaccine. It is a sign that proves that it gives an effective protection.”
   
  Thousands of Swedes have been vaccinated so far and the reports of side effects are “flooding in” to The Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control (SMI). Annika Linde: “It is obviously so that the vaccine against the swine flu results in more side effects than the normal flu vaccines. That is because the swine flu vaccine contains adjuvants, shark liver oil, which triggers the immune defense to respond. That also results in that the protection against the virus becomes better.”
   
  Several severe cases of allergic reactions are reported to the unit for medicinal safety. “So far the reported side effects are not unexpected”, says Gunilla Sjölin Forsberg. This unit has now asked some of the many units that vaccinate to report side effects to better get a grip on the situation. She also got a severe fever and shivering reaction. “- Since I work as a nurse, I decided it was the best thing to do.”, she says. She has been taking many vaccines in the past without any reactions whatsoever.

• This is no surprise to me. I have been tracking such chemicals and how they affect wildlife for years. The same kind of effect ie: ‘feminization’ of the male of the species is seen. You see more and more males that are not males and males with exaggerated female behaviors. Could this be deliberate? The Telegraph UK reports :
   
  Gender-bending chemicals are largely exempt from new EU regulations, warns Geoffrey Lean.
  Here’s something rather rotten from the State of Denmark. Its government yesterday unveiled official research showing that two-year-old children are at risk from a bewildering array of gender-bending chemicals in such everyday items as waterproof clothes, rubber boots, bed linen, food, nappies, sunscreen lotion and moisturising cream.
   
  The 326-page report, published by the environment protection agency, is the latest piece in an increasingly alarming jigsaw. A picture is emerging of ubiquitous chemical contamination driving down sperm counts and feminising male children all over the developed world. And anti-pollution measures and regulations are falling far short of getting to grips with it.
    
  Sperm counts are falling so fast that young men are less fertile than their fathers and produce only a third as much, proportionately, as hamsters. And gender-bending chemicals are increasingly being blamed for the mystery of the “lost boys”: babies who should normally be male who have been born as girls instead.
   
  The Danish government set out to find out how much contamination from gender-bending chemicals a two-year-old child was exposed to every day. It concluded that a child could be “at critical risk” from just a few exposures to high levels of the substances, such as from rubber clogs, and imperilled by the amount it absorbed from sources ranging from food to sunscreens.
   
  The results build on earlier studies showing that British children have higher levels of gender-bending chemicals in their blood than their parents or grandparents. Indeed WWF (formerly the World Wildlife Fund), which commissioned the older research, warned that the chemicals were so widespread that “there is very little, if anything, individuals can do to prevent contamination of themselves and their families.” Prominent among them are dioxins, PVC, flame retardants, phthalates (extensively used to soften plastics) and the now largely banned PCBs, one and a half million tons of which were used in countless products from paints to electrical equipment.
   
  Young boys, like those in the Danish study, could end up producing less sperm and developing feminised behaviour. Research at Rotterdam’s Erasmus University found that boys whose mothers were exposed to PCBs and dioxins were more likely to play with dolls and tea sets and dress up in female clothes.
   
  And it is in the womb that babies are most vulnerable; a study of umbilical cords from British mothers found that every one contained hazardous chemicals. Scientists at the University of Rochester in New York discovered that boys born to women exposed to phthalates had smaller penises and other feminisation of the genitals.
   
  The contamination may also offer a clue to a mysterious shift in the sex of babies. Normally 106 boys are born for every 100 girls: it is thought to be nature’s way of making up for the fact that men were more likely to be killed hunting or in conflict. But the proportion of females is rising, so much so that some 250,000 babies who statistically should have been boys have ended up as girls in Japan and the United States alone. In Britain, the discrepancy amounts to thousands of babies a year.
   
  A Canadian Indian community living on ancestral lands at the eastern tip of Lake Huron, hemmed in by one of the biggest agglomerations of chemical factories on earth, gives birth to twice as many girls as boys. It’s the same around Seveso in Italy, contaminated with dioxins from a notorious accident in the 1970s, and among Russian pesticide workers. And there’s more evidence from places as far apart as Israel and Taiwan, Brazil and the Arctic.
   
  Yet gender-benders are largely exempt from new EU regulations controlling hazardous chemicals. Britain, then under Tony Blair’s premiership, was largely responsible for this – restricting their inclusion in the first draft of the legislation, and then causing even what was included to be watered down.Confidential documents show that it did so after pressure from George W Bush’s administration, which protested that US exports “could be impacted”.
   
  Now the Danish government is planning to lobby to have the rules toughened up. It is particularly concerned by other studies which show that gender-bending chemicals acting together have far worse effects than the expected sum of their individual impacts. It wants this to be reflected in the regulations, citing its discovery of the many sources to which the two-year-olds are exposed – modern slings and arrows, as it were, of outrageous fortune.

  Iran’s foreign minister on Monday played down the possibility of Israel launching a strike against the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, after his French counterpart warned of such an attack if talks between Iran and world powers failed.
   
  “We regard the Zionist regime in the current era in its weakest position,” the semi-official ISNA news agency quoted Manouchehr Mottaki as saying. World powers are awaiting an official Iranian response to a United Nations-drafted deal for Tehran to send low-enriched uranium abroad for further processing. In comments published earlier Sunday, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner told the British paper The Daily Telegraph that, “They [the Israelis] will not tolerate an Iranian bomb.”
   
  He added: “We know that, all of us. So that is an additional risk and that is why we must decrease the tension and solve the problem. Hopefully we are going to stop this race to a confrontation.”
   
  During an official visit to Beirut, the foreign minister stressed that time was running out in the negotiations. “There is the time that Israel will offer us before reacting, because Israel will react as soon as they know clearly that there is a threat,” he was quoted as saying.
   
  Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign minister said his country could either buy nuclear fuel for a Tehran reactor or agree to the plan and send its uranium abroad for further processing.

  Turkey’s prime minister has further inflamed simmering Israel-Turkey tensions, claiming that Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman threatened to use nuclear weapons against Gaza, The Guardian reported Monday.
   
  Recep Tayyip Erdogan was quoted as making the allegation in an interview published by the British newspaper. The comments came amid a crisis in ties between the two allies, which erupted earlier in the month after Turkey banned Israel from participating in a NATO air force drill.The crisis was deepened two weeks ago, when Ankara refused to take off the air a television drama that depicts Israeli soldiers killing Palestinian children. In the interview, Erdogan reportedly insisted that the Turkey-Israel strategic alliance remained alive, but chided Lieberman over the alleged nuclear threat regarding the Gaza Strip.
   
  The Turkish leader also stressed that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has repeatedly called for Israel’s destruction, was a “friend” of Turkey’s. “There is no doubt he is our friend,” Erdogan was quoted as saying. “As a friend so far we have very good relations and have had no difficulty at all.”
   
  He reportedly rejected on Western accusations that Iran is seeking a nuclear weapon, saying: “Iran does not accept it is building a weapon. They are working on nuclear power for the purposes of energy only.”
   
  Pro-Islam Turks protest ‘Israel violence in Temple Mount’
  Some 500 pro-Islamic Turks have held an anti-Israel protest in Istanbul over violence at a Jerusalem holy site claimed by both Arabs and Jews. The protesters on Monday marched toward the heavily guarded Israeli Consulate and burned an Israeli flag, chanting ‘we will protect Al-Aqsa mosque’. Muslims regard Al-Aqsa as Islam’s third-holiest site.
   
  Relations between Israel and Turkey – a key Muslim ally – have soured since Israel’s war against Islamic militants in Gaza at the beginning of this year. Earlier this month, Turkey canceled a military exercise in which Israeli pilots were planned to participate. Tensions deepened after Turkey’s state-run TV aired a drama series that portrays Israeli soldiers as cruel and repressive.

  In a move that may heighten tensions in the capital, the Organization for Human Rights on the Temple Mount (OHRTM) called for Jews to visit the east Jerusalem compound, which houses the al-Aqsa Mosque.
   
  During a rightist event held in Jerusalem Sunday evening, just hours after Muslims rioted in and around the Temple Mount amid reports that Jewish extremists were planning to visit the site, Professor Hillel Weiss said, “The (third) temple must be built now. The mosques do not have to be destroyed in order for us to do this.” 
    
  The conference, which was attended by a number of Knesset members and leading rabbis, was held in protest of the decision to seal off the compound due to the recent violence. “It’s time that we stop surrendering to violence,” Temple Institute Director Rabbi Yehuda Glick said, adding that “before his assassination, prime minister Yitzhak Rabin said the greatest threat to Israeli democracy is bowing down to violence. 
   
  “Unfortunately, lately police are surrendering and withdrawing in the face of the Palestinians’ violence,” said the rabbi. Kiryat Arba Chief Rabbi Dov Lior said, “It is vital that the Israeli people visit the (Temple Mount). We are suffering because a large segment of the populations is indifferent towards this issue.  “Reclaiming our sovereignty over (the Temple Mount) will bring redemption closer,” said the rabbi. 
   
  Far-right activist Moshe Feiglin told the conference that the Temple Mount riots and the Goldstone Report, which accuses the IDF of committing war crimes during its December-January conflict with Hamas in Gaza, both constitute attempts to “undermine our legitimacy in this land.”
